And then queens who did have say and were in charge generally allowed their husbands to rule alongside them, so they were making all of the big decisions alongside them, so even wars they started are kinda iffy on whether it was actually the queen’s independent decision or not; I wonder how many kings let their wives have that same privilege of ruling as an equal?
Making my bed in the morning. Not like fully tucking sheets organising decorative pillows a certain way, but just making it in general, even if it’s sorta messy. I started doing it when I was 18 after watching some motivational video (I still have no idea why I watched it; I don’t even really like them) and the person speaking mentioned something along the lines of “you’re more likely to have a productive day if the first thing you do is wake up and make your bed, because it’s easy to do and starts your day off well”.
Most spices. I don’t even like pepper.
Yes! The only time I ever cleaned my dorm room was when I had a bunch of school work.
Russia’s been decriminalising domestic abuse lately, too. As long as no bones are broken (bruised and blood are fine), the penalty is only a small fine, although actually getting that fine is pretty uncommon. I’d guess that martial rape without broken bones falls under that, as well.
Or, one of the ones that my family will throw at me when they’re trying to convince me that I’m wrong, is that the people in hell are there forever because they denied God and they WANT to be in Hell to ensure they are away from Him for eternity. Apparently, everyone in an eternal Hell wants to be there and would never choose to leave, so God leaves them there because it’s their will. Which also implies that our will is greater than God’s and will overpower his, and that not only has zero scriptural evidence but directly contradicts it.
I don’t care about any of those things (although I don’t really get what the emoji thing refers to). And personally, I find that showing emotions and being vulnerable, including crying, to be one of the biggest green flags ever.
Websites/software with either not enough customisation options or too many customisation options. I want to be able to change things like themes without having to edit the JSON file or be limited to changing the font size. Enough where I can make it pretty so I actually use it, but not where I can literally spend four hours every day just customising it.
Arc, mainly because I’ve found it to be the most ADHD-friendly. OperaGX and Vivaldi have been my other favourites, though. I’d maybe use Safari if there were half-decent customisation options.
Tragic backstories! As long as they’re semi-fleshed out and actually touched on in the story, I’m down. Betrayal and/or corruption arcs are up there, too, though, especially if it’s the main character or another lead.
I don't have a vehicle to drive to DC, and it would literally take me 317 hours to walk there from my city. Assuming I'm getting eight hours of sleep and spending another two hours eating and taking care of other necessary needs, it would take me over three weeks to even get there. Plus, chances are, people would be protesting something completely different at that point so I'd immediately spend another three weeks walking all the way back.
Now I want to get a German Shepard to keep men like this away from me.
This reminds me of the post telling me I wouldn't have had depression at age 12 if only I had gotten pregnant like I was supposed to.
Oh God, that's officially one of the most disgusting quotes I've ever heard.
"Masquerading" inplies they're disguising themselves. Let's do "Menacing Assohole Pedophiles".
Eh, those are all beta traits. They need to pay Andrew Tate Lite to become "real" men. /s
Tell me you're a predator without telling me you're a predator.
Right? I didn't even do my geometry homework when I was sixteen, but this guy thinks I would've been the perfect mother? Makes sense.
TIL every women who works doesn't have a family. /s
I use washcloths when I wash my face in the morning/night and then “special” washcloths for removing makeup if I put it on that day. I generally bring my own washcloths to hotels even in the United States, because not all of them I’ve stayed at have them, anyway.
Do you use a washcloth?
