I had some guava jam with mine. It’s a good cake on its own, but even better with some fruit.
First time using an icing bag… I know because I’ve tried and my results are about the same… like a kindergartener tried to decorate it.
I don’t know if they use cornstarch in the jam, but it looks like the glaze I make for strawberry pie (that has cornstarch in it) before it gets to boiling… it looks cloudy until boiled for about 2 minutes, then it becomes clear and glossy and darker.
