Downclimbing is a great workout and trains different muscles and skills.

My sheeb hacks and coughs after a minute or two of being upside down. I think he might choke on his tongue lol.

I hated the bow in KCD as someone who shoots barebow IRL. No reticle is "realistic" but the FPS perspective instead of actually sighting down the arrow is nonsensical. Kinda the worst of both worlds, foregoing the reticle in favor of realism, but without emulating how one actually aims in the real world.

Yeah, mine is completely destroyed. Cold washed, never tumble dried. Just cheaply made, sadly.

No joke there are so many threads seething over some DEI conspiracy theories because you now have the option to not kiss the frog.

I could do it as a kid but lost the ability somehow.

Very much not ok. He's becoming Tucker Carlson

/uj It's actually pretty solid. Writing, aesthetics, atmosphere, and story are all on point. Even the business model is pretty generous for an MMO. You can get years of content for very little money.

Combat, however, is painfully boring even by MMO standards.

Filming this movie was the worst thing that happened that day

Yeah I don't know how we've gotten to the point that the UI is a cornerstone of challenging gameplay.

As someone who used to work in an office supply store, they're actually not a bad deal if you print smaller amounts consistently. You pay monthly for a page allotment, with ink being shipped to you at no charge whenever you're low. Cost per page does tend to be lower than buying ink (assuming you don't print in enough volume to justify the upfront cost of a high-efficiency laser printer), with the caveat that you need to be printing around your page allotment every month for it to be cost effective. Of course, a lot of people miss that last part and wind up wasting money.

The pictured weapon is very much not the airburst rocket launcher though.

Gotr is pretty fun and chill when you find the groove.

With that said I don't revisit it very often now that I've gotten outfit, needle, and lantern.

This is Max(imus), but I call him:

Maxington, Maximiliano, Snaximus, Bugsnax, Donut, Egg, Dorg, The Deputy, Boge, Dalg, Sneeb, Garfield, and at least a dozen other things I can't think of right now.

To be fair, this is a community where people think it's reasonable and healthy to farm the same piece of content for thousands of hours just for a single drop. If there was any game I could see play like this being realistic, it's this one.

How has nobody mentioned Mattias Krantz

I tried it for the first time last night and it's a monster. Might be my new go-to.

More accurate for sure, I just wanted an opportunity to shit on Tommy

Yep, I've bought my dog the poison blood upgrade before when we were in a tick-heavy area. Very effective and saves so much time tick checking, as well as removing the stress of trying to remove them without doing more harm than good.

I made the mistake of jumping straight into 4 after 3, and felt like I was just playing DLC for 3. Revisited it years later and had a pretty good time.

Yeah, by "empty run" I mean going through and crafting at an altar without any essence, just to charge a cell.

The opening is a bit different with some variations (and let me know if you'd like me to elaborate on opening), but from the first portal, my rotation is:

  • Go through portal, fill pouches and inventory.

  • Craft runes, feed guardian, charge a barrier.

  • Is fire, death, or blood available? If no, skip to next step. If yes, go through immediately and charge another cell at the altar. Use cell to charge a barrier.

  • Deposit runes, craft essence to fill pouches and inventory. Craft runes, feed guardian, charge a barrier.

  • Until the next portal appears, go in empty for overcharged/high cells and charge barriers. If no overcharged/high are available, deposit runes and restock on empty cells. (If I'm 10/10 on empty cells and no overcharged/high altars are available, then I might mine a bit).

When crafting runes, I try to keep balanced between catalytic/elemental points, but unless I'm at a disparity of 150+ points, I'll prioritize higher level charges, or higher XP and shorter runs to the altar, if for example both death and fire are available.

Gotta weave in empty runs for overcharged cells, and use those on barriers throughout. You shouldn't ever have to mine after the start (except the big essences during portals, of course), and should still be getting 800-1000 total points each round.
