This might need some tweaking:

* If you succeed and you have more matching pairs of dice than the opposing roll, extraordinary success / "Yes, and"

* If you succeed and the opposing roll has more matching pairs of dice than yours, marginal success / "Yes, but"

* If you succeed and neither of the above two things are true, usual success / "Yes".

It works the same way if you fail, with "No, but", "No, and", and "No".

The Carrington Skatepark has some of that sort of stuff, at 14th St and 140th Ave NW.

Technically an 'infusion' is for alcohol-soluble molecules, and 'fat-washing' is for fat-soluble molecules. Practically they're very similar. I cooked the bacon first and that seems to be the usual process.

It was rendered bacon fat from a pound that I had fried up.

I bacon-washed vodka and I have regretsIngredient Ideas

Learn from my lack of judgment!

To be clear: this is a me problem, not a vodka or bacon problem. I probably should have noticed that most of the recipes calling for bacon-washed vodka are tomato-based things like the Bloody Mary or the Caesar, neither of which I particularly care for. It doesn't do any favours to a Screwdriver or a Harvey Wallbanger.

There are many things I like about bacon and none of them are in this. There's no saltiness. No smokiness. No meatiness. It's more like a ham infusion, maybe, or if you only chewed the fatty white parts of a piece of bacon. The texture is sort of interesting, but there must be better ways to get there.

The good news is that I didn't do this to a whole bottle. I'm not sure what I'll do with the rest of it. Maybe use it for pasta sauces?

Very interesting version of orgeat; I'm almost certainly too lazy to do all this, but I'll keep it somewhere in the back of my mind. Thanks for sharing!

Costco has some pretty good discounts on legit protein powders, sometimes.

Very good write-up -- thanks for sharing it! Reality TV is such a rich vein.

Coincidentally, someone(s) shot at Drake's house and hit one of his security guards. That's some spicy beef.

I've always believed it's a reference to Wilhelm Reich's cloudbuster device, although I don't really have any grounds for this belief.

I'd stick with it for at least a week or two, to give it enough time to get itself together. There's always enough time later to start over.

Here's the full orgeat recipe that I use:

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup almond milk

scant 1/8-th tsp each of orange water and rose water

Adjust sugar amount for your personal preferred sweetness

It's easy to overdo the flower-water so try to be careful.

Store in fridge.

Green Goddess (kiwi/gin/etc)I made this

Apparently there's a goodly number of cocktails named "Green Goddess" and they're all different.

This is the one with kiwi, gin, St Germain, etc.

I made up a too-big batch of 'kiwi syrup' to try the 'Daq Attack' recipe from Educated Barfly, which was to my tastes only okay, so now I've been shopping around for cocktails to use this in.

It looks like it'll be really sweet, and it is quite sweet, but not as sweet as I was afraid of. The texture is a bit reminiscent of a Bellini.

Recipes:

1/2 kiwi, peeled

2 ounces gin

3/4 ounces St. Germain elderflower liqueur

1/2 ounce lime juice

1 ounce kiwi simple syrup

top with club soda

Kiwi Simple Syrup:

1 cup cold simple syrup

3 peeled kiwis

into blender, blend.

Wonderful drink, love it to bits.

Homemade orgeat involving almond milk and sugar is quite easy and entirely serviceable.

I also like it with a gin/tequila split base, but that might just be me.

That giant slip-and-slide thing they had going turned out to make a lot of people really angry, I seem to recall. But that's about the only thing I remember about it.

This isn't a completely-baked idea, but maybe you could do something with it:

Whenever one of the Chosen pushes a Charm, Fast Talk, or Persuade roll, they use Intimidate instead. It's not a conscious decision on their part, and even the target might not immediately realize that the feel threatened on some level. When the Agent realizes this is happening, it's probably a SAN check. Their words and actions have taken on a constant undercurrent of implied violence.

Possibly this could advance as far as replacing all those rolls with Intimidate all the time, but that seems a bit extreme, even for this investigation.
