Good store for buying analog automatic watches?

All the automatic traditional / Analog watch lovers, I’m looking for a good store with knowledgeable salesperson to buy my next watch (automatic) in the range of Seiko, Tissot, Longines, Mido, Oris, Citizen, Casio or similar.

Looking for a store that has good collection and display pieces. New to automatic world (did some research), so will be good to talk to a salesperson who can explain things and know about different options in my liking.

The Watch Warehouse is great, super nice folks! From my recollection they have Seiko, Tissot, Hamilton, and there's definitely a few more. I got a Seiko Sumo there that I've worn everyday for over a year, absolutely love it.

Got a Seiko Prospex SPB097J1 there and the guy even knocked a couple hundred off the MSRP.

I’m actually leaning more towards solar. Still confused. Solar is more accurate, change battery/capacitor maybe once in around 10 years. I’m wondering if they last so many years like the automatic/spring drive, coz eventually they would use quartz crystal I believe.

Oh wow that’s a lot. I really like Omegas, speedmaster pro specifically. Thanks for the explanation. Yes that’s what I considered, I like the idea of automatic, but considering the regular servicing and accuracy (unless it’s Omega or Rolex, others like Seiko may be off by +-30 seconds a day) I thought I’ll go with Solar for now and maybe think of getting Automatic next time.

They call Solar as automatic, but yes it’s really just quartz. More accurate (+-15 seconds per month), if lucky then battery/capacitor may last 10 years. Planning on buying Seiko SSC917P1 from Bezel house. Wanted black or graphite colour and this one’s awesome. Will check other stores and check other watches too and decide.

Thanks. I had not heard of Luminox. Just checked now, wow they have such awesome designs and dials. I’ll check it out. I loved the “casual” category also on their website.

For sure. I’m planning to wear the new watch with formal and casual/semi-formal shirts. I have a G-shock which is for rough use during hiking etc or everyday wear with tshirts. For now wanted something in black bracelet for more semi formal look or something which will look good with shirts. Right now I have a steel fossil watch for that. Not looking to buy anything for investment for sure.

I am into Jaeger Le coultre (have one for 32,000), Patek Philipe, Vacheron Constantine, Bregeut etc. Birks deal with tese.

I like Tissot Visodate, and Seiko automatic date if you like one. They are available in many places though, downtown jewellery shops including authorized ealers.

Haha sorry I can’t afford those for now. But I’ve seen Patek Philipe and Vacheron Constantine. Wonderful timepieces. I’ll check if Birks had lower end watches. I highly doubt it.

What you're willing to spend will determine which stores you should go visit. If you're looking to spend $1,000 or less, mall jewelry stores like Ann Louise or Paris Jewellers will sell Seikos, citizens, Tissots, and some Longines, Mido, Rado. Also Bezel House. If you're looking to spend $2,000-$10,000+, your best bet is to go to Calgary Jewellery, Maison Birks, Brinkhaus and J Vair Anderson (these stores sell brands like Tag Heuer, Longines, Tudor, Cartier, Panerai, IWC, Grand Seiko, Zenith, Omega, Rolex, Patek Phillipe, etc)
