Leave out the transfer fee and the point still stands. I agree that mentioning the fee might have been unnecessary, and doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with it. My gut feeling though is that a club like United might have hoped for something better from one of their high profile signings, both on and off the field.
This really isn’t a ‘give it, take it’ situation. A player cupping his ears to opposition supporters booing him is standard stuff. A 100m transfer, playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, cupping his ears to a championship side after beating them after penalties really isn’t, no matter who you support lol.

Hey i’m not saying we didn’t get outplayed the second half today. I’m not saying that Sheffield or Luton are brilliant either.
I’m just saying that you have to beat those teams first before you can tally up the three points. We have been terrible at that the last couple of years, so comfortably winning those ‘easy’ games is a massive improvement of the squad compared to earlier seasons.
Every win in the Premier League is impressive in it’s own right. You don’t win the league against Liverpool and City, but you can certainly lose it against Luton and Sheffield.
Glad that this was posted. It’s easy to lose perspective in a run in.
Obviously the timing of this loss is not great, but look at it from a different perspective; it could have been way worse too.
Had this loss come 2 games before the final game, we would have had exactly that to catch up to city. City is very capable of winning all their remaining matches, true, but at least we have some games to go to see if we can beat them to it.
This was a horrible second half of which i’m sure Arteta will be fuming too, and i’m sure it’ll be addressed accordingly as has happened before.

Max: Where we touch, it was a bit clumsy. When you're in the car initially, you think, "Didn't I leave enough a space, half a car width?" I honestly think I did leave a car's width. I'm not there to give 2 cars width because then I know that he's going to get me. You race hard for a race win.
