The only person who can decide what is junk mail and what is not is the recipient. I think receiving bills is junk mail, and I'm your letter carrier, so I throw away all your bills. Next month, your electricity is disconnected because you didn't pay a bill you never received. Yeah, no. It doesn't work that way.

You have to pull up because there is the possibility that another car will be coming in behind you.

You get your boat in and out of the water at the boat launch. Usually at the edge of the water over by the docks and boat fueling stations.

Our pets don't care how much we paid for our furniture. It is now their furniture, and will do as they please.

My deceased mother in law used to say "utoll" where "at all" was needed. And when she needed the word "atoll" when referring to some sort of island or reef, she said, "attle" as it rhymes with "cattle." She would always speak as if she were some upper-crust, society-savvy busy-body looking down her nose at the rest of us.

This won't happen as much if you untwist your floss by each individual strand. When I separate strands, I take the strand and run it through my thumb and index finger several times before joining it with other threads to begin stitching. The more you untwist it before stitching, the less you will get knots on the back side.

I find this also helps get fuller and fluffier coverage, especially with 310.

There are always riders needing drivers in my market. Sometimes the pay is way too low to take it, though. Five to ten seconds between pings, some pay next to nothing, others pay pretty decent. Even on a Tuesday afternoon.

This is true. There are lots of threads in this sub/r that cover this topic.

It's simple. Because Lyft doesn't want to have to pay Google and Waze to use their maps.

Yes. I even went so far as to try to make a pattern out of the one piece that's not already a pattern. I can't seem to find a place to scan a poster of the original art and adjust the colors properly.

I always zig-zag the edges. My sewing machine also has a few stitch options that are very similar to a serger edge finishing stitch, but I've not used it.

Amazon has them here in the US. I searched side-threading needle and it came up with several items.

When I travel 1,500 miles to visit my son and his family (wife and grandkids) I must bring my own vessel for beverages. In past visits, I had found it impossible to locate a beverage container that was either clean or not cracked/chipped, melted, or otherwise unusable. The kitchen sink is always filled with dirty dishes, pots and pans. There's never any clean silverware or utensils to use for a snack or dessert. They tell me they eat out all the time, so I just don't understand why their dishes are always in the sink.

Take back your power. Flip that sucker back over the head of the passenger in that seat. No words necessary.

I have a remote starter for my car. I always start it up to cool it down before I will even get in it. Are you crazy? When it's already in the 90's at 9am, I'm going to use the A/C all day. If the passengers get too cold, they can get out of my car.

Broken lead happens when you drop or tap the pencil. My brother used to tap them like drumsticks and then complain that the lead keeps breaking. Don't tap them, don't drop them, don't use them as drumsticks.

No, you didn't step on them. And they're probably NOT mosquitoes. More likely bedbugs.

This was nothing. Just wait!! You'll have plenty more passengers who will be even more rude and obnoxious than this lady was.

The myth that diamonds are rare, and therefor should be expensive. Bunch of BS told by thr DeBeers family who control all the diamond mines.

I use 3 strands on 14, 16, and 18 ct Aida.

If you're in the US, contact your local County Social Services. Unemployed with no family support, you probably qualify for Medicaid. You can find them with a simple Google search. Your city may even have a phone line for services for assistance, dial 311.

Please seek out a mental health professional for assistance. You deserve to be happy and productive. You will feel better even if they only provide you someone to talk to about anything at all.

My rider was supposed to be Tanya. Pulled up to the p/u location and these two long-haired, greasy looking dudes approach my car to get in. Doors are locked so he starts banging on my car. I said, "I'm picking up Tanya" they say yeah she ordered the car for us. I said NOPE, cancelled the ride, and started to drive away. The lot I was in only had the one entrance/exit so I had to turn around to get by them again and one of them stopped in front of my car and the other behind me, so I started leaning on my horn and didn't let up. They took pictures of my license plate while I was slowly moving my car to get past them. Finally got out of their reach and reported all of it to Lyft.

I keep a small cooler with water bottles in it in my front seat. If there's 4 passengers, I'll move it to the cargo area, but not if there's less than 4 people. Three of you can sit in the back seat.

Lyft's earnings guarantee is that at the end of the work week, your pay is totaled up and compared to what the passengers have paid, they will make sure you are getting a total of 70% of what the pax paid after all the internal and external fees have been taken out. For example, if the total after all the fees are taken out, if the total is $100, you get $70, and if what Lyft has paid you already is less than that $70, they will make up the difference.

edit to add: I don't know anything about Uber. I don't work them.
