I am a Lions fan in Edmonton, I cheer the Elks until they play the Lions. The only saving grace in all this is at least the Elks aren’t as bad as last year. Lions shut the Elks out twice last season. But Jones is terrible. After last season he had no right being the coach this year.

The surrounding areas are beautiful. I live in AB now but I miss hiking in the woods and all the lakes.

Good luck to your son! This is a beautiful day for football. I was sad when Yamamoto was traded to Seattle. Hope you can find a jersey ❤️

The whole “Calgary stinks because they can’t shower” is never going to get old 🤣🤣🤣

As an Elks fan I don’t hate it haha

I love the Beaches! Hope everyone that goes has a blast. They are playing at eve Beaumont Music Festival this weekend too.

Say it louder for their goofy coach in the back. MBT is not dazzling so far.

As an Elks fan I don’t hate it 😆 but still, yikes.

She kept coming back to highways because she was fed and getting used to human activity. I hate that this happens in our parks. We need more rangers giving out hefty fines for this and better awareness campaigns.

The pest poison near a meat slicer is alarming. Like what?!?

That’s some BS but not at all surprised. One year they had a give away for Grey Cup tickets and it was just randomly done meaning they randomly decided who got the tickets lol. It was wild. Last time we were there a group of us showed up and the server was a total bag because we didn’t make a reservation so “that they could have enough servers on hand”. We are giving them business and their first impulse is to complain? Their daughter is also a goon, she is the sort to complain about the Elks football team and the name change whenever she sees a customer in an Elks shirt. We are gonna start going to Sherlock’s at Skyview. Maybe they have dart boards there?

Editing to add that we used to enjoy C&A back in the day when it had two owners. It was such a fun place to hang out in. It’s too bad it couldn’t get new ownership and a face lift. Their patio is so sad now too!

Animals can be saved and kept in sanctuaries without being put on display for entertainment or “education”. Education is the lie all zoos have operated under. I’m opposed to any institution that keeps animals that don’t belong in certain climates (elephants in Edmonton), in small habitats, and then charge money.

It was never a fun place. I will never forget almost 20 years ago seeing that poor elephant standing at a gate and stepping forward and backward like it was stuck in some kind of mental glitch. I wish we could do away with zoos entirely, animals are not entertainment.

Not condoning harassment online but this was one of the most unlikeable casts in recent memory. That lady melting down over Applebees was just too much for me lmao they all kinda sucked.

I know a guy who grew up with him (they played hockey together too) and he had nothing good to say about Pronger. And still doesn’t lol when he came to Edmonton my friend was so over it. That was a good year though for pure entertainment. It’s a cool jersey!

We also flew out from Edmonton for the game lol it was a great trip but yeah what a dismal display by the Elks (Lions are my team but I do cheer for EE at home games).

LL Cool J put on an excellent show last year at the opener. Was so good my Elks fan of a husband didn’t mind seeing his team embarrass themselves afterwards. 50 Cent better bring it 😆

It is not. I go to plenty of events with ushers and none have ever put their arm up around or near guests in that fashion. They do give instructions and will give directions, or physically block areas/aisles, but never try to touch guests. As an example, at certain sporting events you are not allowed to walk down the aisles as plays are happening because it blocks the view for the other spectators. Ushers will hold us at the top of the aisle until the whistles stop plays. Symphonies and Operas the ushers will also hold ya back if you are late. If ushers in “regular events” can give effective instructions without physically imposing/herding large groups of people then it stands to reason at a world event like this the ushers can do the same with guest, some of whom are “guest of honour”.

This usher is obnoxious. It’s the arm out, herding mentality that does it for me. Hovering on breaching personal space. That’s unnecessary and unprofessional.

Can we also talk about their weird intro??? lol what was that low rent Marvel wannabe mess?

People who become that fanatical about one artist are such weirdos. My daughter is a total Swifty but she listens to a variety of artists, and loves all the major female artists out there atm including Billie. It’s not a competition but a buffet of music out there to be enjoyed. (Random but my mom met Billie very casually in Palm Springs after Coachella and she was very chill and unassuming).
