So for any one in the north end, there is a local watering hole that has done completely down the tubes in the last couple years, as stated above. Apparently a regular at this establishment that doesn't drink was denied playoff tickets (which he rightfully won via raffle) was disqualified because he wasn't purchasing alcohol. Not only was this in conflict with AGLC regulations, but was flippantly told off by the owners daughter that he hadnt spent enough money. (?) I normally dont post stuff like this, but no purchase necessary should mean no purchase necessary? no?

This place has absolutely no class:

I play darts at the Crown & Anchor on friday nights. So while at the Crown & Anchor playing darts on Friday May 31st, 2024, the owner comes over and is handing out tickets and for every time the Oilers score, and they make a draw for a prize. By the time she gave me a ticket, the score was 3-0, but after the game was over, she made a draw for two tickets to Sundays game 6, Oilers vs Dallas, and wouldn't you know it, I won, she called my number, last 3 digets 202. I just thought I could finally go to a playoff game and take my son. This sounds exciting and it was at the time. She comes up to me and say she's not giving them to me because I don't support the bar. I said I don't drink, but I said bring me whatever you like and If it was alcohol, I would have just given it to someone who I play darts with. She walked away and I thought she was going to bring me a drink, but instead she went and drew another number and gave the Oilers tickets to someone else, not cool or very professional, considering there was no stipulations for being in this draw, and if there was, why even give me a ticket. As far as I knew, it was a free draw and everyone in the group was extremely upset, because they spend a lot if money there, and well, simply, I'm part of the group. Shout out to these incredible dart players here for standing up and letting her know that and it was very wrong of her to do that. But to her, it didn't matter. If a purchase was required, then she should of only handed out tickets when a purchase was made instead of giving them to everyone. I just know she walked around to make sure that everyone had a ticket. This is not right in any way. I'm not saying I won't go back, because I enjoy playing in this group, but I'll never spend a single penny in this place.

This is the story behind this and please feel free to repost and report to AGLC for contest violations. Or at least for an absolute shit use of promo tickets.
