Exactly, embrace Mother Nature. One reason I shave my legs, makes wet weather cleanup easier, just a squirt of the water bottle and a little washcloth and I’m ready for the khakis. Never found a good solution for putting on wet bibs at 5pm though.

Probably whatever I answer is more of a reflection of me than of the city. I lived for about 6 months in Kings Cross in the early 90’s, while working on a commercial project. Lived in an old walk up on the 5th floor. Was told it’s not safe, but the men and women working the street were always pleasant once they knew that I lived in the area. Sydney and the people there just seemed pleasant, proud and helpful, dare I say, elegant downtown.
Now… is different, downtown is dirty, people walk around barefoot, many with obvious substance issues, everyone seems suspicious of each other and I have to say, if even the locals don’t feel safe, something has changed. The laundry list of places I’m supposed to avoid after dark is damn near 3/4 of the city.
