Anyone know about this bike or own one? Looking to purchase as there is no surlys in stock. Is it any good for off road bike packing?
Looking for a bikepacking bike but have only found a karate monkey available near me. Is it much different?
Looking at a surly karate monkey, just seeing what others are using
I’ve had mine come back in the post today updated without having to do the tests again. Send off the docs needed with a cover letter apologising
Just for anyone curious.. I sent of my old license with the correct paperwork, test certificates and an apology letter and have received back a new up to date license today. Crisis avoided luckily
Just gave them my license number, the one written on my A certificate
You sit the exact same test to get your a2 license but on a restricted bike, and then 2 years later I sat it again to get my A license certificate which is the one I haven’t sent off to get it on my license. So if I have to retake that test again it’ll be my 3rd time
A little bit of hope, will try this before i retake any tests. Thanks
No I have my a2 license. Just meant my 3rd time taking this test if I have to do it again
Yep mod 1 and mod 2 on a mt07 restricted for my a2 and then 2 years later mod 1 and mod 2 on a mt07 unrestricted A license
https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-your-full-driving-licence at the bottom of the hoe to apply section
That’s what it says on the gov website
Well I’m gonna try, is only a month over 2 years
This is what I don’t understand either. Which is why I said it feels like a money grab to make me do it again
Yep this is my worry, will be my 3rd time now if I do it again. As I did the same test for my a2 as well
Just wondering if there is any way round this, it is saying I need to resit the test. Just seems like a money grab to me. Been riding round for two years now on a litre bike and it’s looking like I might need to resit the test
At the time my examiner didn’t take my license off me and don’t remember him telling me this. Is only by chance I’ve found out now
Anybody have experience fitting 29er tyres to a grappler and what the limit is? Says 2.1 on the website but have seen elsewhere that it may fit slightly more and just checking if this is true
Ideally hoping maybe a 2.3 will fit otherwise may look at a 27.5 wheelset
I’ve have my road bike for sale, I’m 6ft 2 and 104kg. Condition of the bike is as good as new and can be delivered in the UK. Much better value than buying a new bike. Link to the eBay page below
How have people gone about getting their wheels 50/50 colours. Has anyone had their wheels powder coated without painting the spokes? Is it possible to do without dismantling the wheel
Thanks
Was £2200 🥲 which I thought was worth it for my dream bike. Had the attitude of fuck it, you only live once when I did it. And if it was as good as i imagined I would be fine with that decision. But definitely isn’t considering I’m not enjoying it. Good news is It’s looking like I’ll be getting a lot back when I change the bike
So… originally had and mt-07 and then and mt-09. Finally managed to get myself an s1000rr and I don’t know if I going crazy but I’m bored of it. The bike is crazy fast, but on uk roads in the north I find myself stuck in 1st and 2nd gear most of the time and just not enjoying my riding.
After 600 miles I’m thinking of selling the bike already and going back to something more with torque and low rpm
Feel like I should appreciate the bike more as i am only 25 so am lucky to have the bike in the first place, but I keep cutting rides short and getting home unsatisfied
Not sure wether to keep the bike over the summer or swap it out to some like like the ktm smc r or 890 duke
Any advice appreciated
I’m about to buy a 2018 s1000rr sport with 8k miles on it
But I have just found another one the exact same model and price but with 2k miles on it
Just looking for some advice on which is best to go for, both bikes are the same spec other than a seat cowl. However. The one with 8k miles is in black which has been my dream bike and the other one is in grey, still very nice
Looking at owning the bike 2/3 years and the resale value is pretty important to me. So am thinking maybe go for the grey one instead with lower miles as it’ll be worth more maybe?
Don’t know if I’m just over thinking the mileage a little bit as I’ve got in my head that 8k is a little high
Any advice appreciated
Thanks
Only gonna run 29 2.5 which I think the km can take
Is there much difference between the krampus and the karate monkey
