Keep searching and keep checking your outdoor camera. Data may be hunkered down somewhere. If he’s indoor only, he’s probably freaked out and only emerging from his hiding place overnight. If you can, leave a door cracked for him. Some cats will sneak back in in the middle of the night.

I know you feel hopeless right now, but unless you find concrete evidence that the worst has happened, Data is still out there. I was in this situation over the summer, and my cat is back home like nothing happened after months of roughing it.
