Watching this made me realise it's even less controversial than I originally thought. I knew they'd restarted and sent out a few probing lead hands before the knockout came but what I hadn't remembered is that Alex didn't actually protest the cup shot to the ref at all. He just touched it a few times but as soon as the ref came over he waved him away instantly. You really can move your hands wherever you like in a fight. Alex didn't put a foot wrong here.

This really depends on what matters to you and your own priorities. It seems like for most of the top commenters here it'd be a huge deal and probably lead to the end of their relationship. For me, 10 seconds of drunkenly letting a stranger kiss you before realising and pushing him away doesn't seem like the sort of thing to end a relationship over if it's otherwise going well and you still trust her. Only you know which camp you sit in though and whether or not you can move on and still have trust in future.

This is actually a good illustration of Feynman Uncertainty, an important principle in Newtonian Mechanics.

Everyone's an open water swimmer now

Rashguards are perfect to swim in and are great for avoiding sunburn. Nothing wrong with swimming in a t-shirt but a rashguard will probably give you the best experience and it shouldn't draw any unwanted attention your way.

Whatever you do, don't lose the plants that clearly mean so much to you. He doesn't sound like a great partner tbh, but whatever the case, you could well end up in a position where you have no boyfriend and no plants. Don't do it.

From the very little you've posted I'd be tempted to assume that average includes the vast portfolios of REITs that form the backbone of many of our pension funds. It sounds extravagant if you imagine the average "landlord next door" just happens to have 7 London properties to spare but in reality it's just an expression of how private wealth exists and that large investment portfolios can be formed with many distributed investors. TLDR: It doesn't tell you anything new.

Gutted to hear the spawn rates have been nerfed before I even had time to experience the Ashlands war. Two points come to mind:

1) As far as I understand it, simply turning up the difficulty slider creates an additional problem on top of those you mentioned - getting one-shotted and not being able to parry the strongest mobs. This just doesn't sound like fun, unlike fending off huge hordes.

2) I'd love to see a spawn rate slider. However it wouldn't fully resolve the issue as it would likely apply to all biomes. You may not wish to flood the meadows with mobs, rather just to experience the full hell of a fiery late-game biome. And that's the point really - this biome was clearly meant to be a warzone. If it's just a fiery version of the other biomes then it still will be wherever you set the sliders.

“If I don’t make any right decisions no more in my life, I can say at least I done it one time.”

Nah, it's just something in my eye...

Absolutely. I watch the fights to get away from this kind of shit.

It's correct that part of the setup to the joke is that the guy looks like an obvious undercover cop. The actual joke however comes from the fact that the picture appears to be taken through a set of bars, suggesting that this person is already under police detention and so it's hardly an impressive discovery that the guy on the other side of the bars is a cop.

I think it'd be a real shame if people didn't have forums to share their opinions on aspects of the game we love, whether it is positive or negative. I don't believe it's futile because the "devs won't change it" as there are updates that affect existing biomes and I'm sure the devs do care about our experience of the game.

Weird choice of words but it's weird how these things seem to genuinely bother people to the extent that it does seem to actually tire them out. It just doesn't seem to matter to me. People have always tried out all sorts of words and phrases, many of them being a bit silly. There's probably an insight there into all these cultural differences of opinion we've got going on at the moment but for me it's just an armless statement.

I know I shouldn't take this seriously but I do think the two examples are different. The Plains biome could be seen as a natural step up from the first two biomes - like a tough meadows with less water. I don't think too many people would have had continuity issues had it been released in the latest update.

The Ashlands is a bit different - fire raining from the sky and shield generators doesn't really have an analogy in the Plains. And I think Mistlands, mist and magic also did feel like a bit more of a jagged step.

Perhaps the point is whether or not you can seamlessly (though perhaps ill-advisedly) wander from one biome to the other or if you need specific tech right from the outset. This could also be said to apply to the Mountains biome too of course (cold resist) but to a lesser degree.

Anyway, I thought the initial poster was very measured and respectful and imo I'd prefer more constructive debate, especially when an update is in the test branch, rather than less. Doesn't mean there's a problem with this post, I'm just saying the original post had merit to me regardless of whether or not it matches my own experience.

Big fan of the other Pereira's walkout

I've actually stopped buying macaroons off bouncers for this very reason.

Can't believe this. You got the macaroons in for the lads and the bouncers go and snaffle em. Absolutely fuming.

Agree. I think it's important to see that longevity comes from having parts of the game that seem out of reach. Not every area needs to be quickly conquered and tamed. Some areas could always be a war, and that'll maintain the feeling that there are always new challenges lurking out there.

This has been my experience too. Cowards that want to look tough are looking to fight the guy that can be described as imposing to their friends, but aren't actually strong enough to beat them. It's pathetic. Interestingly when I've politely refused a fight with someone that actually seems to be a tough guy, they accept my refusal and move on. Still not great but on some level I can respect that.

I pretty much did the same thing Max did - screamed and stomped around the room like a toy soldier. Possibly the biggest reaction to anything I've ever seen on my TV.

You're getting the opportunity.
