Just Pedro and TO for me (I'm also 42).
I just apply the same attitude towards this as I try to towards everything: if it's not harming anyone then what do I care?
Yes, this whole thing seems very strange to me, but it's not my life or my wedding so that doesn't matter. My wedding day was the best day of my life, and I hope when Tim and Gia look back at this day they feel the same.
I'm kinda sad that my next vehicle, for the first time in my life, is not gonna be made by the big 3. I'm gonna feel weird rolling down the street in a Honda or something. Oh well, guess I'll have to get over it.
This new format has created such an improvement on the content so far.
Must be all the blue in that city connect uni that transforms Casey into Tim.
Yeah I've never read Savage Dragon but was planning to give it a go soon. Thanks to OP I can cross it off my list. So at least that's good.
I don't mind sex or nudity in my comics. But straight up rape? ESPECIALLY being used as a joke? Nah. F that.
I mean you pretty much nailed it. As soon as the Krakoan era of X-Men is over, the only big 2 book I will be buying monthly is Immortal Thor. Buying single issues any more is just frustrating for all the reasons you mentioned. I'll just keep up with what I want to on Marvel Unlimited from now on.
I just reread the book about a year ago and meant to read this after but totally forgot. Thanks for reminding me! (Love the novel btw.)
Never heard of this before, but I just looked into it and it seems right up my alley. Definitely gonna give it a go.
Tokyo Ghost is the first book I read by him, and one of the first comics outside of the big two that I checked out. It's still one of my favorites to this day. Obviously Sean Murphy's insane art helps a lot.
I also really enjoyed A Righteous Thirst for Vengeance. The only other thing I've read is Low, but for some reason I only read the first volume. This was years ago so I don't remember why, but it wasn't because I didn't like it. I plan to go back. In fact, Remender is one of the creators who I want to read through their entire bibliography, so I'll definitely be checking out more soon.
I just FINALLY read the original series this weekend, despite having picked all the single issues as they were released. I really liked it and am excited for both this new series as well as all the Ghost Machine books.
My top 5:
Saga
Criminal
Fatale
The Fade Out
Bitch Planet
Fellow Lions fan here who grew up in the Bay as a Niners fan (still am, but the Lions have been my #1 team for quite a while) and while I'm hopeful for a Detroit victory, I'm not going out and placing any bets.
The Niners have won 5 Super Bowls in my lifetime, 3 of which I was old enough to be able to enjoy and celebrate. Meanwhile, before this season the Lions had not won a single playoff game in the 25 years I've lived here.
I'd ask for just this one, but seeing as the Niners were gracious enough to fire Harbaugh so he could come to Ann Arbor and get us 3 conference titles and a natty before heading back to The League, I'm already in debt to them.
Anyway, I will be beyond thrilled if the Lions win, but a loss means I get to get some nostalgia by cheering on the Niners in another Super Bowl. Either way I'll be happy.
(But go Lions!)
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out.
Oh man, as someone who grew up in Cali as a Niners fan but has lived in Michigan for 25 years this is nuts. Taking me back to the 2012 World Series. I'm definitely pulling for the Lions, but I'm lucky in that if they lose, my consolation prize is I get to cheer on my childhood and second favorite team in the Superbowl.
Purdy is so far from elite. And I'm saying that as someone who grew up in the Bay as a Niners fan and still counts them as my number 2 team. Niners fans overrate Purdy like crazy. (Not saying he's bad, they just tend to act like he's the second coming of Montana.)
Maybe you just don't vibe with them for whatever reason, but I'd reccomend checking out Fatale. It's got a supernatural element which might be that something extra that makes it stand out more for you.
That's definitely one of the ones I'm most looking forward to and probably will read next. And yeah, with my limited free time (and with the NFL playoffs going on this weekend) this pile will probably last me quite a while.
Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about that ending, but it does make me want to give the book another read...eventually. Really enjoyed the story overall though.
So far the only one I've read is A Guest in the House. Monica currently number 2 in my to-read pile.
I'm so glad the Niners got rid of Harbaugh.
Signed, a Michigan fan who's still riding high off of Monday night's championship win.
This isn't them voting on what they thought was the ten "best" games of the year. This was their top ten favorite games. Nobody at Kinda Funny played BG3 and thought it was a bad game, it just didn't align with some of their tastes. And that's totally understandable because for as great as BG3 is, it's still a genre that's not gonna click for a lot of people.
Not trying to be rude, but I don't know why that's so hard to understand.
Barry Bonds's 600th career homerun.
What is the best thing you got to witness live at an MLB game
