people have reddit brain, you said nothing wrong
i’d suggest that sounds exactly what someone who is anti light rail would say.
Yikes, why would someone ask how your mother died? Is it just me, or is that really rude?
I’m sorry mother’s days are like this for you. I have problems with Father’s Day myself.
okay, that alone is worth the ticket price 😅
“save the historic whole foods on fauntleroy that only employs limbless children! how could you do that to the children?!”
that’s strange. when I click on the sound transit category on wsb the only posts i see favor those who don’t want the light rail. considering this sub seems to be much more pro-light rail than the blog, it’s odd we don’t see any requests for pro-light rail information to be shared. it looks like wsb is advocating.
I don’t know why people are surprised that you couldn’t see her much and she can’t mix songs. there’s plenty of videos of her doing professional shows billed as a dj where she has large stage coverage, and even more videos of her djing at smekkleysa where you can hear it’s more of a playlist experience. plus, from the sound of it, shygirl and eartheater had great dj sets, there were a ton of names on the bill.
Their toolbox is open, moving from “struggling with money at the minute” to “so stop been races”, I wonder when they’ll mention their grandma died yesterday.
only if you’re not a part of a skit
that makes no sense. do you mean it’s a covert ad for grindr? (because it is) but this isn’t “staged for normalization”
p sure gays are the normal at eurovision, jenius
Those bootstraps ain’t gonna pull themselves.
They both got that witchy slightly racist hippie you’d meet at whole foods vibe for sure

just joking, but it’s helpful to keep in mind how language was used in that time period. while, it’s definitely not a great lyric, the word was seen as “polite” as opposed to the word “colored”. but it was written during a time of transition for the word and it soon became favorable/polite to use “black” or “african american”. it’s similar to the term “transsexual” can be considered a harmful word to some in the us trans community, but historically, and in the uk, it was considered the most polite term. so watching documentaries like “paris is burning” can be jarring when the term is used so openly when listening with modern us sensibilities.
It’s the default sound for grindr, not obviously grindr since it’s a banked sound, but at eurovision it’s obviously grindr. but yeah, def. staged, still fun.
I have no ~actual~ knowledge of the case, but I was reading about it and saw that she received immunity for testifying against her husband. Considering the laws dealing with testifying against a spouse, it could have been the only way to seal a conviction. I’m not sure the legality, but that could mean, treating her as if she didn’t receive immunity would result in lawsuits. Definitely an ethical dilemma. There may have been policies or laws established to close these loopholes enacted since. There’s too much speculation about this topic to be so reactionary.
Edited for clarity
