I recently made a thread asking about batching/mesh instancing in HDRP, since it isn't really documented anywhere. I'm wondering the same for grass - since terrain grass rendering isn't supported by HDRP (and using detail objects leads to really poor performance), I'm wondering what methods people use (without paid assets) to render grass in this pipeline. Is my only option to write a grass shader?
thanks
do you think lone is trying to have an ILCK moment again with LLF? like he hopes the lead single will go viral just like ILCK so he can build hype for the album. maybe cuz none of the snippets have been popular (outside of here) he's delaying it because he doesn't want it to flop. i honestly think hold it down or italian swag could absolutely blow up
i got ur back if u been holdin it down
It's weird that there's no simple solution or documentation for this. I checked the frame debugger and I see that my 200 objects are being drawn as four SRP batched draw calls (presumably of 50 geometries each? maybe something to do with the 16-bit integer buffer having a low maximum vertices count). I guess that's as optimized as I can get it.
Title. using 2023.2
I'm surprised I have found next to no resources in the manual or online for this.
Does HDRP support any form of dynamic (runtime, not build) batching or geometry instancing? I tried using StaticBatchingUtility.Combine but it doesn't seem to work no matter what I do.
I am creating ~200 objects at runtime (each the same geometry and material), and I would like to batch them together once they have been instantiated. Or at least, render them in one pass as an instancedmesh. Is this possible in HDRP?
lalo and howard would never nap together
hold it down safety your eyes ππ€²

i desperately hope not ππ
dude thats kinda exactly what i want to go for. i'm still super early i just feel like i don't have a good art direction yet.
Hey everyone. My name is Austin and I've been working on my fully destructible Hotline Miami-inspired FPS for the past three years. I recently released the Demo on Steam and I put in a little sample music, from which I've had really good feedback for. but I don't know what genres/artists I should look into in order to flesh out the soundtrack.
can u elaborate
What are your go-to design patterns?
