![Today I Learned Bokhee is scrub nurse in real life and I think that's super cool](https://preview.redd.it/jii4rc6rsbad1.jpeg?auto=webp&s=ee441259b4644dbfb05cafbcbf66c86ae3002c95)
Are your feelings hurt? We don't like Tayter tot here, are you sure you're not lost?
I wish we had a booking department at either one of the properties I worked at.... It would have made my life so much easier.
Because those ads are full of shit.
Also: because big tobacco is behind those ads. It's a way to fear monger smokers and tobacco users away from vaping as a safer alternative.
Tobacco companies have lost a lot of profits because a lot of us switched to vaping, and they're gonna do whatever they can to get those numbers back up, including marketing campaigns full of lies about safer alternatives, and lobbying against the vape industry, putting money in politicians' pockets to make more laws against the vape industry as a whole.
Houstonian here. Dallas rocks. I'd rather live in Dallas than Houston. But this is the Dallas subreddit so if you hate Dallas so much, why are you in the sub? Are you lost?
All the reputable hotels will be 21+ and won't allow a 17 year old to stay. It's a liability issue, among many other reasons. A parent or guardian 21 or over needs to be with you at all times.
Another option: stay with your friends... Why couldn't you just do this?
This is a great comprehensive list, but I'd also add Sam's club or Costco, or another general bulk supplies department store. I know both the properties I've worked for had accounts with Sam's club and made frequent orders with them in between Coca-Cola and other food vendors orders, since some vendors take forever to deliver your order. Also pool maintenance services.
You're 17, you'd be lucky to find anywhere willing to rent to you that isn't shady as hell.
With that said: We had a 19 year old guy on a Chinese passport staying 1 or 2 nights every few weeks at my first property for a while, he got it previously okay'ed by our GM and AGM to stay there with an extra security deposit... Basically he had to pay double incidentals, and would get that double incidentals back after he checked out and we confirmed the room was fine.
Reach out to management at the properties you're interested in staying at before you make the booking. The law is 18 and up, so I'm not sure any of them will be willing to circumvent the law for an underaged stranger, but that's the best advice I can give you.
Because of this subreddit, a few days back someone posted something about characters long past, from the beginning seasons and it made me super nostalgic... I started watching this show from the very first episode when it first appeared on TV back in 2004 or 2005. I loved the show from the first episode. It's been a long time since I've watching religiously, but because of this sub making me so nostalgic, I just restarted from season 1 episode 1 yesterday and I don't remember which episode Bokhee first appeared in but once I saw her I yelled out loud "Awww there's Bokheeee!!!"
There's no way his parents don't think he doesn't know what sex is at that age. He just needs to be straight up with them. "Mom and Dad I hear and see you having sex every night and it is traumatic for me, and keeps me awake. Can I move to another room or move out of the house now? Since I'm like, an adult now?"
Lol yeah. I always liked her character on the show, such a minor character, but always there, and had very few lines, but when she would talk, I would always smile, she's quirky and funny in her own way... And it made me curious what she looked like, who she was, so I googled her and finding out she is a real life scrub nurse, I wonder how her colleagues feel working with a real life TV star, or if her patients know she's Bokhee from Grey's. I have so many questions.
Former IHG night auditor here, worked 8 to 14 hour shifts, no breaks, no lunch... I just had to take the opportunity when I got it to go pee or eat something. 9 times out of 10, when I would order hot food, I would have to reheat it 3 or 4 times before I could actually finish my meal because of phone calls or guests coming up in the middle of me trying to eat. We were chronically understaffed and didn't have a rule against sitting but the GM didn't like seeing us sitting for long periods of time. They gave us a shower chair to sit on and look at the cameras in the back of the front office. I have chronic pain and lumbar spondylosis myself and it was extremely uncomfortable in that nasty shower chair and that was the GM's way of trying to prevent us sitting for long. That chair was hell on my body and many of us would switch it out with a computer chair, including the FDM who said it was okay to do that, but then we got an email from the AGM saying we couldn't do that anymore. That place was ridiculously toxic.
Edited to add: sometimes the shower chair would disappear for a few weeks at a time... Only to reappear after a specific guest would check out. So that chair was being used by guests to shower in, and then returned to the front desk for us to sit in. Clean or not it just felt disgusting and inappropriate.
This screwup is on your colleague. Run the card on file, if that's not an option, other than calling the guest until they answer and asking for a card over the phone, there's not much else you can do but chalk it up as a loss. The person who extended the reservation in the first place should be the one getting bitched at by management though. It's a general rule to always authorize the payment for extensions...in other words they should have gotten payment for the extra night up front. The most you/management can do now is put the guest on the DNR list for non-payment.
I love Addison Montgomery and I seriously adore Kate Walsh and everything she's been a part of. I also thought it was really cool that one of my doctors looks exactly like a brunette Kate Walsh.
Wow your neighborhood is lucky... Our mods seem to be asleep at the wheel most of the time... We don't even know who they honestly.
You don't even make any sense and one check at your post/comment history you can tell you're running multiple different scams at once. Get a real job.
Former NA... If the group is loud after quiet hours have started, I can see the NA being freaked out if they're a nonconfrontational type. But all you gotta do is say it's after hours and you need to be quiet if you're going to enjoy the lobby after quiet hours.
If it's not after quiet hours: If it's kids, I'd make a judgement call based on their ages, if they're too young, they need their parents to supervise, I'm not a babysitter. If they're old enough to stay home alone, then as long as they're on their best behavior, I don't mind them being in the lobby. Once they get rowdy or do stupid shit I'll be calling parents to come get them or come supervise.
That just gave me the funniest animation playing in my head of them just mindlessly mumbling their scripts to each other and talking over each other trying to sell each other their overpriced low quality shit 😂
That's true, but honestly, they don't belong on the platform at all.
I hate her spelling.
