It’s not that bad. It just feels like its missing a main event. One average-good fight and this is a good apex card. Right now its just below average GIVEN the main event. Like compare this to ASPEN LAD VS NORMA DUMONT?!?!?!? Thats extra level garbage.
Probably skipping this one though… even with Bonfin, Dober and the main event being probably solid
I don’t mean to be an ass, but the bosses that give me a hard time are the ones I enjoy killing. The whole point of games like these is the challenge, if they are a pushover, why am I doing it?
I get what you meant though, for me it was Fatalis. While I only killed him once (my objective was soloing every boss in the game and then I felt like it was complete) he was by far the most demanding and hardest boss that did not require gimmicks and “bullshit” things. I might favor Alatreons moveset as more fun, but the elemental breakdowns and horn mechanics felt a bit cheap for me. He felt like an ultimate challenge and conquering felt very satisfying.
I agree. On all soulslikes and fromsoft games giant bosses (excluding dragons) are VERY hit or miss and usually entail being a gimmick boss. This one felt not only like a good boss fight, but the gimmick doesn’t DEFINE the boss fight which is the best part. I’ll explain what I mean, you can see on like the storm manta ray (forgot the name), Yorm the giant and Rykard that the bossfight is: get special weapon and take out very cinematic bossfight with it, and while they improved each time its the same boss fight every time you fight it because you are forced into the gimmick. Here its an attack, so the gimmick is just incorporated into the fight and the rest depends on your build and playstyle. While I would say a boss like Rykard is better, he is annoying in following play throughs because its literally always the same
80 euros is considerable more than games here in Brazil, the guy is blowing it out of proportion. AAA games are 299 here, delux version or things like that can go up to 400-499. It’s rare to find a game above that and AA and indie games you can find for 40-200 bucks. Still very expensive but 80 Euros is 480 Reais, much more expensive nominally. Also where in the fuck did he find a game for 750 Reais? I have never seen that in my life.
Edit: I’ll give an example, the SOTE DLC is 154 Reais, which is around 26 Dollars (it is being sold at 40 in the US, right?). Elden Ring + DLC is 300. It is expensive, but nowhere near what this guy is preaching.
Easier fight ——> considerably more money
“Insane” -> random person on reddit.
Yep it adds up.
Hit or miss but when they hit it’s absurdly good. Shit take. Imagine not getting Midir, Placidussax, Bayle and Kalameet just because you are salty about easily (usually) avoidable fights that are easily cheesed. A better alternative: STICK TO MASSIVE DRAGON FIGHTS AND NOT REPETITIVE ONES
Actually the featherweight with a chance to fight up the rankings did make 146 before he knew about the weight change. All the criticism is on Ortega and his very late notice to Lopez team to change weight classes, why should Lopez (WHO IS ALREADY FIGHTING ON A WEIGHT CUT DISADVANTAGE) lose all the upside he would get on beating number 3 when Ortega is the one who fucked up? On top of that Ortega has already said he is moving divisions after this fight win or lose. Commenting on something and trying to turn it all about himself with a sarcastic comment are not the same thing.
Ah yes, comparing an almost boss type enemy to a common fucking pig that appears like 20x in the normal game.
Also the biggest criticism Elden ring had is repeated bosses and too many dungeons without a new boss, you are just salty.
Also the DLC pretty much fixed this, dungeons had actual boss (or mini boss) type enemies.
For an Ortega win it makes no sense. Lopez was 146 when he got called to change to 155. Punishing him rankings wise if he wins is EXTRA bullshit, he did his job.
Edit: oh you mean Topuria? Nothing he has been saying makes sense. I guess he is just criticizing the decision (and trying to make it about himself as usual).
I felt that it had a lot more than the base game proportionally. A step in the right direction 😂
You don’t understand what “artificial difficulty” is. Simply being harder is not artificial difficulty. That is something like making a boss with random 5 mobs inside the arena or making it a bullet sponge (the bosses are not bullet sponges, if you didn’t get enough Scadu fragments that you were supposed to have its on you). Notable bosses in FromSoftware that simply had artificial difficulty just to make it harder and bullshit are like: Capra Demon, King Vendrick, Ancient Dragon, Godskin Duo. No bosses in the dlc were harder because of it.
The Babadook bedroom scene. Shit is freaky.
Nioh 1. Played like 40 hours. Repetitive ass missions and lackluster combat and enemy design really fatigued me. I play ALL soulslike and this one felt the worst of all. Heard the second one is a million times better by everyone, including people that had the same issue I had with the first one. Might play that someday.
The paycheck thing is probably not what you think. Out of nowhere co-main in short notice for a PPV card is probably a HEAVY paycheck. That’s why he is probably saying things like that. Could see both winning tbh, if it goes long probably ortega.
Difference between Jiri and him is that he kept yapping that he was the real champion all the time after vacating.
At least you get a Dragon Beast mask to live up the Furry dream 🥵 Great DLC, best thing I ever played. 0/10.
I know!! I’m not saying the old is even good, just that you can see the stingray cover up on the helmet of the samurai.
I think volkov has the worst of the guys in the post because you can clearly see it was another tattoo covered. Its still sweet though. I would probably say Charles has the best here, its so clean and fits him perfectly.
I know, I’m saying both Jones and Silva didn’t deserve the Chael shot.
Nope. He even did a season of the ultimate fighter for the Jones fight. Did some research, the biggest change was on the Silva vs Chael 2 card where Uriah was supposed to fight Dominick Cruz for the strap and got injured.
He was already meant to fight wonderboy. Missed weight by like 3 pounds and changed to MW, looks MUCH better there.
Michel Pereira is on a good run
