Is there a reason why Roga has been sitting away from Oyakata? Even in other videos its Naba next to Oyakata vs Roga

I went on my.caredge and looked what was around. I then found a few dealers close to the one I was planning on visiting in the event they did not have what was on the website in stock. What the salesman told me is that a lot of times people put down deposits so technically the car is spoken for but they do not update the website often.

Very fair - I also get the fact that things may change down the line. If she wants her mom to stay 4 weeks I am not going to argue against that. All I wanted was her not to rule it out as a hard no but it sounds like the general consensus from others' experiences is to just do what makes her comfortable

Yea sounds like it will be her preference over mine, which I totally get. I appreciate the well thought out response. Just to add I do not expect my mom just to come with nothing, she would pre-cook us food just as she has during the pregnancy. My dad however is another story he's just there to drive my mom haha

Oof I can't imagine the MIL staying for 8 weeks. All I wanted was my parents to see the baby for a bit and then they would drive back. Seems like the consensus around is to just take this one to the chin

Thank you for your perspective its very helpful. I get where she's coming from but the emotional side of things for me wants my parents there to share in it as well.

Without getting too much into it, we did go through a tramatic event 2 years ago where she was in the hospital for over a month. My mom only visited once after a few days of being in. I took care of her the entire time in the hospital so I am familiar with being in a support role and doing a lot for sure. But I get it, she wants her mom there and no one else so hard to convince her otherwise and not worth the battle

Appreciate the perspective. Her mom is going to be living with us for at least 2 weeks and I'm sure taking care of the baby. Should I not have her hold the baby and just be more of a support role as well (cleaning, cooking, etc)?

Thanks for the perspective. If it wasn't to host but to show up for 1-2 hours to check on her plus the baby, would that also be too much? My parents would literally drive in and leave afterwards. I also have no problem with telling them they have to go once time is up

My parents are generally pretty easy going people. I only wanted them to show up for 1-2 hours to see the baby and I am sure they will be concerned with my wife. They are not imposing people and will drive back afterwards

We have always had a great relationship and honest and open communication. Part of me is angry which is why I even mentioned it but we discuss and generally align on certain things. I would say that she is more particular about certain items (eg: cultural 1st b-day, religion,etc) and I am more particular about education, finances, etc. We have a good balance but I will admit that my frustration got to me when I was writing the post
