My Metal Burster aint burstin' CRAP

After meticulously fusing several pokemon in an attempt to create the Frankenstein that is Ursanacl the Green Bear🐻, i expected some divine levels of power. And... it's kinda ehh?

Don't get me wrong, Metal Burst deals quite a lot of damage... but NEARLY not enoughr truly. I am at wave 2100, and my main carry Kuyrem started falling off, now only managing to nab a KO after a successful Focus Band proc.

And Ursanacl... is essentially the same thing??? Like, it takes half of all the shields from a boss mon (if not Para'd or flinched), protects to fully heal and THEN grabs a KO. So basically, every encounter is a slog where you pray for no para and rely on berry recovery. And this thing consumes berries like a rocket engine consumes fuel. EVERY TURN.

Is the gameplay after wave 2000 really like this? am i supposed to painfully struggle through even normal waves, or am i doing something wrong? Should i put Multi Lenses on the bear🐻? or strip my carry naked and give Ursanacl the Black Hole with grip claws?

(!) Alternatively, i have a Leech Seed/Salt Cure/Soak/Covet Tinkaton for Eternatus. Maybe i should make him the carry by fusing Sturdy on it? Idk seems kinda scuffed...

You should have 3 Berry Pouches, a Pickup mon and maximum Grip Claws + Multi Lenses to maintain a steady supply of berries.

Yes the gameplay gets extremely slow once you have to switch metal burst. You need to basically turn off anything that takes time up. Like battle animations etc. and also speed your game to max or else, depending on your age you won't complete it until you're either an old man or dead.

I gets sooo boring, I always ditch my saves around then. Also by that time, you've spent more time rerolling the rewards screen than battling.

Yeah 2000-2500 is a good stopping point IMO

Yeah I restarted my last run around 2200. Metal Bursting is just too tedious for me. The only reason I went that far was to see if I could.

One other thing. Metal Burst DMG depends on how much damage you take. So the higher your HP the higher DMG you'll send back when they 1 shot you into sturdy.

Poison Heal+Sturdy makes it a lot better, you only have to protect once every 10 floors and don't need lum berries at all.

Love this strat, only problem is you’re seriously relying on pickup mons because you can’t afford to carry grip claws or black holes that might stick you with a lum berry

If you have enough shinies, you can free the last slot to catch anything and transfer their items

Don't transfer the Lum ? You only need sitrus and enigma if you run poison heal.

The problem is that if everything you catch is maxed out on Lums you can't transfer the Lums you get with Grip Claw/Black Hole to them to get rid of them

I was talking about the other way around. Catch a pokemon, and transfer their items to the carry.

You need way more HP, like 300~500k at 2500 to be safe. You should have 99 candy jars or close to, so use rare candies and HP up.

I don't know how people manage to accumulate this many candy jars. I'm closing in on wave 1000 and im only at 10 jars lol

There is so much shit clogging that ultraball tier and i'm locking and rerolling like crazy

I started fusing shinies so I can fit more luck on my team and I still cant get enough 🙏

I was at s+ and after 2500 floors I saw more master ball tier items than candy jars and I rerolled about 10 times and locking any yellows every time and not running from any fight. Like I stopped taking master balls and stuff.

Yeah I managed to get the last one a bit after 2100 but man rerolling so much is a pain. Now I'm glad I can just give my mons sugar overdose by rerolling for rarer candies... Fuck

I was at 94 around 2150, but that's when I decided I was bored of Endless at that point and eventually saved over it cus Endless with Metal Bursting became too boring/tedious for me.

I really don't think that much HP is necessary. My first run my metal burst pokemon had 330k at 5850 and had no issues at all.

Yeah I believe the recommended is about 300k. At the end that is. Don't think it would be possible at wave 2000

This is nonsense? My first clear was with 350k hp at 5850
Pretty sure 300k at 2500 is near impossible?

Is not impossible, i did on my first endless run and it wasn’t even a metal burst mon it just happened

Pretty much everything you wrote is not true.

You don't need candy jars since overleveling isn't needed and while it might take longer 150k-200k hp is enough if you got dots too.

your hp doesn't really matter, nor does your level. it simply does not keep up with the scaling of boss HP bars (and the damage required to break them)

candy jars are also out of favour at this point

HP is mostly irrelevant. Unless you're trying to kill every boss you come across, as long as your level is >80% of your target's, you should be one-shotting.

This is why we use a pokemon with Run Away and only pull out the metal burster when we really need to.

I caught a tier 2 shiny ninjask now I want to do a new endless run and fuse it with a dark type pokemon so it only takes fairy damage but idk which dark type pokemon has a good moveset that can learn stuff like leech seed and the good stuff yk

Only Wo-Chien comes to mind, unfortunately. But hey, you can just splice the needed moves onto your shedninja, then unsplice and splice again until you are done, the moves will stay on the first pokemon of the fusion (it NEEDS to be Shedninja). Splicers are much more common in later waves, so it is very much doable with enough commitment. I mage my Salt Cure/Soak/Leech Seed/Protect Tinkaton with 3 splicers in ~300 waves.

Do I lose the wonder guard ability when I unsplice the other pokemon from the Shedinja? Bec I don't exactly remember as I haven't unspliced any of my pokemon bec my Lucario is fused with toucanon sorry if I misspelled its name but it has skill link I have beak blast and bone thing forgot what it was called but it will always hit 20 times with a 30% chance to flinch bec of the kings rock and 50% chance each to steal an item and beak blast is still infinite and I have 3 quick claws and I have max carbos so I'm faster than every pokemon except if they get +speed to me it's broken I have 3 multi lens and it does hit 3 times then charges up again and does it again and again and again until they die if they endure the attack obv have to refresh the website and try again yk
