We moved to the area last year, currently renting in Alexandria and planning to buy next year.
What neighborhoods should we explore for a future SFH purchase under $1.25m? No commute, one young child (school is a concern, do we pay less for housing and send to private or pay more and send them to a great public?) and a dog (would like some yard space).
We’ve liked our area in Rosemont, Seminary Hill, Belle Haven, Hollin Hills, Great Falls near the Turner Farm - appreciate any other recommendations to get out and explore. Don’t want to be too far out of the city (Ashburn, etc.) but don’t mind being a bit further out than Arlington/Alexandria if it gets us more yard and house.
