I have heard that some people find roommates who WFH less desirable since they are home 24/7, and of course you also need to find a place with a bedroom big enough for a desk and computer monitor. There is a strong possibility I'd move if I work from home, but may stay in nova for a year or two due to the possibility of going to NVCC before moving to a larger city that's less sprawly.
Those that WFH or have a hybrid schedule, do you have more difficulty moving or finding roommates?
I really love good TexMex. I recently discovered Chuy’s. Great food. Great Atmosphere. Any other NOVA TexMex you would recommend?
I see a lot of fruit and vegetable picking farms but not one that’s mentioned picking corn. I remember running through corn fields in Texas and picking corn that were super sweet. Just want to do that again…
I need a good place to get my car detailed budget is between $100-$200 would prefer inside and outside vehicle detailing service.
Thanks in advance!
It’s getting to be that time in life - always difficult when you can start to see that a parent may need the care of a nursing home in the no-too-distant future.
Nursing homes, themselves, are hard to guess how good they are going to be. And their websites are typically no help in terms of the cost - they want you to come in and talk to them. So I figured maybe I would ask here if anyone has had experience in this specific set of circumstances, and found a home that was reasonably nice and takes Medicaid. I know Medicaid-funded facilities aren’t always the nicest… but we’re at where we’re at, there’s no way my spouse and I can afford $8-10k out-of-pocket for nursing home care for each of our parents.
That building has been vacant since Dogfish moved out a few years ago. Now construction is well underway. Do you know what’s going in?
