Just got back to the gym for a few weeks after a few years of excuses. My playlist isn’t what it used to. What is a song or songs that get you to push yourself to the limits when you otherwise wouldn’t? I’m partial to electronic dance music (Avicii, Mangoo, David Guetta, etc) but anything will do (hip hop, pop, etc). The below is only important if you want to read about my journey/backstory.

For reference as far as my loseit triumphs and failures. It’s always been a roller coaster ride. At like 22 years old I was 250 lbs at 5’8”. By 24 I was hovering between 145-160 lbs at a decent 7-9 percent body fat and even considered competing as an amaeteur in men’s physique.

I had a minor injury but that only caused a delay reflecting in about 10 lbs increase. I just made excuses and I let opinions bring down my self esteem and ability to care. 5-7 years later I’m at my heaviest and unhealtiest by every metric at 270 lbs. once again, I’ve only been back at the gym for 2 weeks. No weight loss yet but strength in my lifts is coming back fast. I’m no longer looking to get as low as I was and compete. I just want to be the healthiest I can be and look as good as I can manage at my age (about to turn 32 years old).
