(I still got fries)
Apparently 2 burgers is healthier then 1 burger and a fry?
Food PicsExactly.
If your blood vessel is clogged, use another burger to push it through
Chaser
Statins are our friends
As are stents
Lmaooooo
Yezzir
I used to always get 2 burgers and no fries at In N Out until I found out how good animal fries are. Now I get animal fries with extra toppings and 2 burgers. š
Well thereās two burgers so itās still healthier
I like the way you think sir
Holy shit it me
Heās literally me
Actually if you add chilis then you have extra veggies which makes the fries okay.
Itās basically a salad at that point.
I do something like that but with protein styles and cut the fries.Ā Ā by having 2 or 3 burgers instead of 1, I can also try different burgers like one with animal & protein style, the other with raw and grilled whole onions with chillies, etc..
This is the way.
Itās science.
2x2 = ~610 cal
Fries = ~360 cal
Two burgers āhealthierā? Yes, most likely. But, if you are going for calorie deficit, no.
A burger will fill you up way more than fries
No the potato is all starch. Sits in your stomach like a rock. Empty calories. The potato will fill you up
Arenāt empty calories a bad thing?
yes lmao
You think 2 orders of fries is more filling than a 2x2?
you'd feel it in your stomach immediately more than a 2x2 but you'd probably get hungrier sooner
Am confused why you initially responded to my comment with ānoā
What are you talking about
Me: āa burger will fill you up way more than friesā You: āno the potato is all starchā
Because the fries will fill you up more than the burger. Its true
Maybe for 1-2 hrs. But nutrients and protein keep you full longer
Nah protein takes the longest to digest the burgers would fill you longer
Burgers have stuff your body will use and can actually have nutrients sure but Im terms of fullness the caloric fries will make you more full
Well a burger is 350 but he definitely didnāt just get a burger š¤Ŗ
Sounds good but I need the fries to paint ketchup on every bite
Also true bout two hookerz vs 1 hookerz plus AIDS
FYI - the aids cancels itself out as soon as the second hooker with aids is introduced.
My fat ass getting 2 burgers and 2 fries.
Man here I was minding my own business when this sub popped up in my feed. Now Iām gonna have to go grab a double double.
They donāt need to advertise because weāre all innout evangelists.
Saw that too lol
I end up getting two burgers and a fry anyways
Great post, caption made me laugh
Than*
Thank you sir
seed oils
really not the devil yall make them out to be, but yes, americans overconsume them heavily in comparison to things containing omega 3's.
Omega3 to omega6 ratio is what is important.
damn, looks good, iām hitting in and out yknigbt
So youāre eating 3 burgers and 1 fry? I donāt believe itās any healthier eating in any particular order.
If you want to eat healthy you shouldn't be eating at In 'n Out. Just don't do it that often and go ahead and get what you want when you go.
i heard a nutritionist say itās not ideal but cheese pizza is better for breakfast than cereal, soā¦ā¦it plays
How do we know this
lol idk itās just some study I keep seeing around socials
ok lol, never seen it
its bc fries = a couple spoonfuls of straight glucose as far as your blood sugar is concerned, meanwhile the burger has protein, less carbs, and less glycemic impact with the added impact of keeping you full for longer.
funnily enough though, potatoes are scientifically the most satiating form, but when you deep fry them... it kinda causes some problems with that.
Now get both burgers Cali Style (with fries inside)
Instead of 2 burgers, just do a 3x3
People dog on in n outs fries and thats fine, but i'm gonna say you're a fat fuck for getting them lol
Thatās exactly why I ordered 2 4x4s with whole raw onions, no spread sauce.
Trying to be healthy.
Healthiest you can get at in n out is
One 3x3 (or 2x2 i guess) protein style, no cheese, no sauces (maybe just mustard), grilled onions and chopped peppers for flavor. No fries, water or unsweetened iced tea for drink.
If real hungry, get two. Clean eating, still delicious.
Two burgers and a fry is the way to go šŖ
Think about it this way. Everything on that burger is pretty "natural" (meat veggies bun) but then the frozen solid (or hard raw) French fries get put in boiling hot oil and absorb all that oil as well. Squeeze a fry out and just see how much grease is in it! 1 tbl spoon of oil is like 15g of fat
Checks out
Because of the lettuceā¦
Mama told me if you eat a sugar you drink a diet sodie after and it will cancel out the sugar.
You get more protein with 2 burgers. You get more fat and carbs with fries. But why not just get one 4x4???
Thatās even better šÆ
maybe bc fries are FRIED IN OIL!
If you wanna maximize healthiness youāll not get cheese, get mustard instead of spread and it protein style extra of all the veggies. But this looks great too.
Did you just suggest no cheese or spread?
Haha true, I get it. Personally I prefer no cheese and spread but it does slap like no other.
No salt too
Salts fine, your body needs electrolytes. Maybe light salt though.
Thats true however Im not sure if they really do "light salt" I know its an option on the pos however the amount of salt applied varies between cooks, which makes me think light salt could easily be a regular salt for some cooks.
Also a double meat already has 1050mg of salt, and 90 percent of americans consume too much salt, and 40-60 percent have high blood pressure. Unless you only eat in n out, then its probably safer to do no salt because you will easily get enough salt from other sources. A can of soup will provide enough salt for your entire day and most americans dont realize that sadly
i had a stroke from high blood pressure and extremely high alcohol intake on a daily basis. i have no idea how iām here but thatās not for me to figure out. so with that out of the way:
salt is a tricky thingā¦.. people react differently to it. i donāt remember it but my doctors actually told people close to me that i had LOW salt when i was in the hospital at some point. i donāt drink salt cans now but there are things i avoid that are blatantly high in sodium but burgers donāt qualify. canned soup does though. itās extremely high in salt. people would be surprised at how few people know that.
What do you consider high in sodium in terms of mg? Not sure the exact amount of sodium in soup but I know a double double has roughly 1600mg, and no more than 2300mg is recommended. I know removing cheese and adding protein style helps a lot though.
i donāt really pay a ton of attention but in terms of one thing youāre eating i guess anything over 1500mg is pretty high. itās more like if itās worth it. if youāre eating a lot of something and it has a lot of sodium, so be it i suppose. i stopped eating some asian food (sometimes notoriously high in salt) the other day because it kinda made me feel weird. i pay attention to sodium to an extent, but iām more looking at things like bad fat and cholesterol. i donāt need cheese either. i canāt really taste much of it so to me iād rather have something else that i enjoy.
Having worked there, itās true that the amount of salt will vary from cook to cook. But I will say when I was trained we were taught to take things like allergies and light salt seriously because of the fact that we had so many old regulars and we knew if they were ordering that way it was for a reason. Of course it will still vary, but just playing devils advocate to say that most cooks I knew took it very seriously.
But youāre still very correct, but assuming that someone is trying to be healthy itās always best to ensure that every meal you take in is balanced because having extra salt certain parts of the day wonāt remain usable to the body throughout the day. At least thatās my view and how I learned about nutrition. Still, I do not disagree with you at all.
Probably true.
Whatās your definition of healthier?
lol idk itās just some study Iāve seen going around everywhere
Oh, haha. Then hereās to our health!
No
Thatās my thinking but I settle with two no cheese, single patty. Itās a filling meal just get some water Someone should do the breakdown cause soda has a lot sugar to.
Yep
Thatās the move šŖ
Than*
Wait, he didnāt mean three burgers and one fry total by the end of it?
Time to get 2 3x3 for my healthās sake
Thatās what Iām saying
Our doctors will have to understand
Yes cuz meat > potato
Iām not a fry guy, so my order is usually a 3x3 whole grilled onions, and a DD grilled onions and raw onions. Healthy af
I know it's my usual order
Yup
You know what's even healthier, when you cook them all the wayšāāļøš
No itās less unhealthy
yeah
It's basic math, they cancel out. That's why I eat 4 burgers.
Go Figure?š¤£š¤£š¤£
When I'm having an exceptionally physically taxing day at work, I sometimes do a 4x4 with a side of doubledouble instead of fries lmao. I can't recommend it, but it certainly goes hard if you can squeeze it in
Iām getting two burgers from now onā¦ plus a fry.
I think 2 burger and 1 fry is the healthiest.
If carbs are the enemy, then absolutely.
Haha always been my logic too
Yep. Personally what is the healthiest and what I would order myself is 2 protein style hamburgers (with lettuce and tomato) which is 200 calories each and only 400 calories total. The only condiment I would use is mustard which is barely any calories and only up to 5 calories. If itās on two them it should be no more than than 410 calories
Yes
I approve this logic
That's true. But you got the fries anyway.
What about two burgers and two fries
When I'm trying to watch my cals I switch up the usual of 3x3 animal style with fries to 2 double doubles protein style
I get 2 burgers and an animal fry cause having 2 burgers is healthy
thatās because the second burger cancels out the first. Didnāt you learn two negatives = a positive?
Itās simple math really.
That's what I saw on Instagram. Whatever the answer I'll go for variety. Another study might say drinking five chocolate shakes is healthier than a whole combo meal, but do you really want to do that?
In your instance you're saying 4 burgers must be healthier than 2.
The fryās are cooked in seed oil unfortunately. At least going off my 2010 first hand experience of pouring oil.
i usually get the second one protein style.
I'm thinking of just getting a couple of flying dutchmans when I go from now on. I'm at that age where staying skinny isn't free and easy even with the genetic lottery I hit. And yes, while I'm not 10/10 model attractive, I acknowledge that I hit a genetic lottery and most people are not lucky enough to have hit.
Healthier? Less calories maybe.
it's more calories, it just is from protein as well, rather than straight potato starch which might as well be glucose as far as your body is concerned.
more calories, maybe better macronutritional balance depending on your goals.
Yeah I'm sure that lettuce and tomato makes a huge difference lol
Iām talking about the meat.
Than
Lmaoo. Always.
