Hello please does anyone know how to say I am full in twi?
Ma meen
I think using "Ming" with a silent G might be easier for non Twi folks. Think the Meen folks may try to pronounce it with mean. Could be wrong though
The only way to avoid confusion is "M'amééng"(partial "g")
Ma Minggg Roffff
The comments in this thread brings me to the most infuriating part about the Twi language. There is no consistency in spelling!
Truly, there is consistency of a sort, but I suspect that nowadays, it is not well-taught in Ghana. When I was at school in the 1970s, standard Twi spelling and grammar were quite widely known, and even the tro-tros rarely featured spelling mistakes. Nowadays, if you grow up or have spent most of your life abroad, it is highly unlikely that you will be proficient. Having said that, I now see Twi spelling mistakes made even by young Ghanaians who have never lived abroad. If our governments donβt soon address the issue for all of our native languages, it could be too late to do much.
Wait! How old are you now? π²
66, with everything in very good working order!! π IRL, most people who meet me put me at 40-45, and some think Iβm younger than my wife (sheβs 43), so the akomfem and chichinga are doing their jobβ¦
πππππ You sound just like my US borga uncle πππ Somebody my wife just bought malaria medicine for 2 hrs ago, we called him a couple minutes ago to see how far heβs doing and instead of him resting at home, heβs at East Legon hanging out with a βfriendβ πππβ¦ The way my wife vex herhππππ
Eye asem oooo! ππ¬ππ¬ππ¬π
The local language is being destroyed. Seeing the Dangbe spelling as Dangme breaks my heart.
As in you are no longer hungry?

About the spelling. There is no standard authority, so anyone spells it how it sounds.
Today, virtually all Twi learning is done by ear and not by writing. These who live in Twi learning areas may do some Twi reading, but if you reside in non Akan areas, you may never have to write in Twi. Most writing is done adaptation from English
The use of smartphones and keyboards which lack the Twi alphabet makes it difficult to learn with precision. Perhaps AI in the future can recognize the language and give option in the spell checker.
The only standard complete Twi source is the Bible. To find the correct form of any word or phrase, use Google to find the phrase in the English Bible ( chapter and verse) and look for it in the Twi Bible
M'amee. In twi "e" is pronounced like the "i" in hit. So just extend that sound.
M'a meen
M'agyimii
