[SERUM] Every beat the kick/ bass differs Help!

I produce music within the harderstyles (uptempo) and i am trying to make kicks with Serum.
Now the problem is that every beat/ kick, the tail or bass of the kick slightly differs.
Only this also messes up the bass of the kick. Ive provided a screenshot of what i mean.

I am slowly losing my mind because of this. Ive searched everywhere but I cant find any similar problems.
The randomization in Serum is set to 0/ off.
Does anyone know of this issue and how to fix it?

I'm shit with serum but my initial guess would be some odd phasing issue. Either the waveform having a random phase start or something causing weird stereo phasing.

Why not just bounce out the first kick and resample?

Is there a sample ending / cut in those circles? If yes, I have the answer, try out generic bleeding on those samples. If they arent cut right, a sample can cause a click which plays right after upon the next sample / part of the kick and your whole sound is heavily overclipping and eats all the high frequencies, which are lost in the upper picture

I looked up the second link, generic bleeding or using a proper sidechain plugin to have a slight curve at the end will fix the problem. If you have no curve the sound will end from 100% to 0% in a nanosecond or faster, it has to be 0.03 sec or something, just a very little curve. Generic bleeding can often make the kick sound too short after. The new function in fl with the fade outs is also a good way to get rid of it.

Sounds cant end in either positive or negative (up and down), they need to end in neutral, which is called zero crossing.

Man that's a squashed kick, I feel if that's how it looks even before mastering it's going to be really crunched. You'll probably at least want to taper the tail so it doesn't overlap on the standard 1/4 note length. I usually force their tail to nothing just before the next beat to create a tiny bit of true silence, it helps to make each kick have a proper impact.

Is your serum patch in monophonic mode??? Sometimes tails can overlap attack which causes a new note for a split second. This can also be a problem even when using monophonic with a compressor at the end, notes might still overlap.

Also... It seems you haven't sidechained your kick drum. This will duck your bass during the kick so you wont have bass spikes in your low end. But it should also mute any overlap between bass notes.

Edit) i find that kick sidechained usually will cause a clicking sound. Modern music is so tight that its basically impossible to instantly gate a channel without clicks. So to remedy this. I use a midi controlled gate for ducking my bass at the kick. Even this would still cause a click so i actually set gate envelope to begin ducking 1/32nd after the gate is triggered, then when i put my midi triggers in the channel. i can nudge them 1/32nd to the left. This way i can draw a short ramp down at the start of the gate instead of a hard cut to duck the bass. This might sound complicated and it kinda is but its the only way iv found to completely avoid sidechain clicks for good.

I guess your edit is the right solution, I am a hardcore producer and this is one of the most mistakes done, as people miss that a sound cant end in positive or negative and usually just cut the sample without caring

You are prob not using a limiter or your just hitting the internal limiter so hard its artifacting. That kick looks squashed to hell.

I'm not really good enough with Serum to know for sure and maybe these are too obvious, but a few ideas to try out - try turning off all effects and bypassing all LFOs, then turn them back on one by one and resampling to see if anything in particular is giving you issues. Two, try changing the LFO modes (trig vs env vs off). Three lowering envelop release as low as possible.

It seems like a phasing issue, which I see you replied about to another commenter. To add on that, is your kick in mono? And are all your bass patches and sub patches in bass mono & mono as well?

If you have access to any plugins that meter Stereo Correlation, that'd be a quick way to confirm whether or not there is phasing issues as well.

I use some fx outside of Serum, in FL itself, maybe one of these plugins is creating stereo, because indeed like you said, everything else is in mono. I will check it when i get back home later, thank you!

I am not familiar with FL at all, and have only ever used Ableton, but is there an audio device equivalent to Ableton's "Utility" that you can just drop on the end of a processing chain that monos everything passing through it?

Your bass and kick are out of phase. Just use the phase knob on your OSC to correct it, experiment til they're in phase.

I have tried messing around with the phase knob, but that does not seem to change anything...

Set the phase and random knobs all the way to the left so you’re starting from the same phase position every time. Then you can mess with the phase knobs until you get them aligned properly.
