Or like a step above Little Caesars?
Agreed especially when well done
What? It’s a chain restaurant on par with others like dominoes and Pizza Hut
Trolling
Trolling? There’s over 400 locations
Jets can’t be compared to Domino’s and Pizza Hut though…it’s so much better than those. So, I thought you were being sarcastic and joking. Both Domino’s and Pizza Hut have gone WAY down in quality but I haven’t seen Jets follow in their footsteps. They know they have a quality product. The only downfall is their locations since I’m now 20+ mins from them.
It’s like going to chilis and saying they have the best steak. It’s an insane thing to say when there’s SO many local places.
Besides blue pan, what’s good local deep dish or Detroit style nearby? Domino’s and Pizza Hut don’t have that and can’t be compared.
Giordanos, Denver pizza company, Wyman’s.
Giordano’s sucks here for some reason…especially their new location NW of Denver. It’s not the same as direct from the source in Chicago…Jets still tastes much better. Thanks for your other places. Now I must try Denver pizza company and Wyman’s soon.
I don’t disagree with anything you’re saying but the better one is easy: blue pan
As a Michigan native, blue pan is objectively better, but it’s like eating steak every day, eventually you want (or can only afford) a hamburger instead.
Michigan native here, too. Rock City Pie and Ice is Broomfield has great Detroit style pizza.
Yeah I fully agree there. Its also one of those things like dominos or papa John’s where I won’t eat it all year and suddenly out of nowhere just once I to have it and there can be no substitute
Get those cameras out of my house!
Blue Pan isn't a fast food pizza chain though. We're just saying as for cheap and dirty pies, it's top tier.
I wouldn’t consider blue pan fast food, we all know it’s better though ☺️
I haven’t cared for Blue Pan as much post Covid. It could just be me.
I love Detroit style and agree.
I don’t like numerous aspects of blue pans pizza. I don’t want a pound of arugula on my pizza, and I don’t like huge bites of ricotta on a slice.
but the quality is undoubtedly way higher than jets.
It's good. Probably better than any other major chain around

Jets is this Detroiter’s go-to takeout pizza.
Same. Went to high school with a couple of the Jetts’ actually.
Were any of them named Bennie? Or New York?
Bennie (and the) Jetts. Cute.
Or Joan.
Very good for a chain pizza shop! Get the turbo crust! You won’t regret it!
only chain pizza I will eat. There's better Detroit style in this town (Blue Pan FTW), but for a quick pick up? Jets rocks.
Give Hops & Pie a shot sometime.
Blue Pan was started by a couple of guys from Michigan who worked at Jets in college, to my understanding.
I always call it "an upscale Jets that serves beer"
The Little Rose at Blue Pan is some of the best pizza I've ever had.
Blue Pan is mids
Try Mangiami’s
Better than Dominos, the hut, or papa johns thats for sure. And black jacks.
yes it is - get the 8 corner versions - everyone always get a corner, so everyone's happy
This is the way!
Jets is pretty good, but any time we order, we nix mushrooms. Their mushrooms are clearly canned, and gross. Slimy, even.
With those removed, we really enjoy their pizza
Agree on mushrooms. Was going to add skip the mushrooms on the post I made. So Im not the only one that hates their shrooms! And I love them. but have them removed from Jets. They really need to fix that.
My wife and I IMMEDIATELY picked up on them our first time ordering. Thought, what a shame... Such a good pie ruined by lazy mushrooms.
I hope they start getting them fresh, because they are awful.
I've learned to ask if the mushrooms are fresh at any pizza place. Same with sausage.
I actually got burned a couple months ago. Asked about the sausage, they said fresh, and I ended up with a pizza full of perfectly uniform sausage pellets. You could tell immediately.
Told them, I don't think this is fresh. Server: "hmmm, I guess it is frozen."
Have to assume the people that work at some of those joints don't even know what fresh vs. frozen means in the first place.
To be fair, I'm from Chicago, so I'm naturally a pizza snob, especially with sausage and mushrooms.
But any time I see the frozen stuff, I want to post it in r/PizzaCrimes
I used to work next to a jets and would chat out back with the guy who delivered their ingredients and stuff and you’re right they are generic canned mushrooms in big cans. But most of the ingredients are like this. The boxes of hamburger were just a blank box labeled “beef topping” and I always though that was funny for some reason. Still pretty good pizza though.
Thanks for confirming our suspicion!
Yes, I understand that ingredients for restaurants come like that, but they absolutely could choose to get fresh mushrooms versus that canned junk.
I grew up in Michigan and it’s my favorite chain from back home. The pizza slaps.
For a delivery chain, yes its our favorite! I hope they open one even closer to us in Golden. The one on Wadsworth delivers to us but it would be great if it was closer. We love their wings and ranch. You can buy a whole bottle of ranch too. It’s so good. They also give you the option of well done which is how I prefer everything, especially wings. I hate when wings are soft and fatty and I like my pizza toppings on the crispy side. We like the new york style but all options are great.
A location opened recently in Boulder. It’s 2.5mins walk from my house. It’s practically in my back yard. I have to be very strict about only getting it once a week, because during the winter I put in 10lbs, and Jets is to blame.
It’s a staple in Michigan. Can’t beat Detroit style.
It’s Detroit style so big fluffy crust. #1 for me. I like it more than blue pan bc I can get it well done with turbo crust which I think is just extra oil.
Turbo crust 🤤
Yes
Jets is bomb!!!
Yes. 8 corner with turbo crust.
it's good
Really good for a chain. I was surprised and very pleased.
I found the crust to be very good and the toppings to be a bit mid. Overall solid and will order it given it’s a fraction of what blue pan wants.
Used to get it every Friday in high school back in Detroit. I’d over eat and give myself a tummy ache every weekend so that should say something.
Man this! We had one across the street from our high school so after games on Friday we’d go. It was always good unless we just lost to brother rice.
I had a 4 corners last week and it was fire. I was really surprised how good it was for delivery. I’d like to taste it side by side with blue pan cause it might win.
so good!!!!!!! get the turbo crust
Yes. Their ranch is the best I have ever had.
It's Denver good
We liked it a lot.
It is very good. And their wings are pretty okay too.
Agreed. Love their pizza and like their wings. I always get them sauce on the side, throw them under my toaster broiler for 3 minutes per side, and then sauce them. Pretty solid that way.
I am so glad Jet's is available here. But my waistline isn't, amIright?
Solid take out Detroit style. Never disappoints. It’s my go-to when I’m not getting blue pan or something fancy
Eat at Jimano's!
So the pizza does taste good, but I find I usually feel pretty awful afterwards.
I think there’s quite of sodium, as well as they use very cheap oil for the crust.
Very good! Detroit style, well done. Don’t get more than two toppings so it doesn’t get soggy. Their ranch is heavenly. It’s definitely the best chain pizza, and I would honestly eat it over several independent offerings. Even better out of the air frier the next day.
Get the deep dish 😋
Awesome thanks guys!
I enjoyed jets. Dough counter a couple blocks south of jets is good too

Dough counter was the most mid $50 pizza I’ve ever ordered
How did you spend $50 on a pizza?
All I ordered was a large vodka chicken parm with extra cheese. Their service fees made it a $50 pie before tip
Was it theirs or a third party app? Those pizzas are like $22
No I went in the store. I ordered a large which was like $38 before I added the extra cheese or saw their $4-5 service fee
I tried it last week for the first time because I got a coupon in the mail. It’s not bad for the price point, the dough was actually pretty flavorful, but I didn’t care for the sauce. 6/10
You get detroit style?
I did
In 10 blocks of South Colorado boulevard you get three different great pizzas. Jett's, Dough Counter, Papa Murphy's. Not better than each other, just different offerings.
Crust is good but the toppings were very underwhelming.
Cant take a pizza place that uses canned mushrooms seriously.
Yes verygood
It’s so good, my favorite pizza in town. I get the Detroit style with turbo crust and pepperoni well done, 🤌
For delivery, it's very good. It's Detroit style, so deep dish and greasy, but delicious.
I like it! Plus, $7 gets you two pieces of pepperoni and a soda, which doesn't suck.
Honestly better than most pizza in Denver
I only eat it cause I work right next to one and red Robin can't cook a Donatos to save their damn franchise but yeah I enjoy Jets.
A roll call favorite. pepperoni/jalapeño, well done!
Hell yeah it is
8 corner gang
For fast food pizza it's good. If you want real Detroit style you should go to Blue Pan
better than most local pizza chains tbh lol
I love the Aloha BBQ Chicken square pizza dipped in their ranch. It’s pretty much all I get there and it’s unique! Sooo good.
Love the cajun crust. Definitely well above Little Ceasars. Above all main chain pizza places in my opinion.
Yes
Not good for you.
But tastes fantastic.
Get yourself some.
Wtf there’s a Jets in Denver? I just moved here from Stl and miss it dearly
It’s phenomenal
It's good! Get the eight corners.
It’s the Michigan version of Blackjack.
It’s good deep dish
Short answer: yes.
My favorite fast-food/fas-casual pizza chain.
It’s better than you’d expect, probably. Blackjack used to be my go to, but I don’t know if it’s just the location closest to where I am living now or what but it’s just not hitting the spot like it used to. Does anyone remember Nicolos Pizza? Idk if it exists anymore, but about 15+ years ago, that was the best cheap delivery/take out pizza I could find. Thin crust, well done, with pepperoni and green bell peppers.
No. It's the best.
They were all over Michigan and when I moved out here I was super bummed Colorado didn’t have them, then about 6 years ago the first one popped up about 30 minutes from my house and I would drive all the way there for it. Now theres a bunch and I can get it delivered. But yea…it is some top tier quality shit.
Look like this is gonna be a hot take, but no, i thought the sauce was terrible. Never ordered again.
Honestly a good chain for Detroit. The one near me though sucks at directions. I don't get turbo crust when asked and sometimes I get something else instead. Top of my list compared to other major brands, would be a contender for blue pan.
I live in the Midwest, where mom and pop shops are everywhere and delicious. Jets is an option also, because jets rules(location depending but usually it’s a thumbs up)
TURBO CRUST.
Awesome to know jets has made it out to denver
Four corner w/turbo crust, extra cheese, sausage. Basically Pizza Hut in the 90s (to avoid confusion, fantastic).
Try it with turbo crust. If you pick it up keep your windows cracked or ypu car will smell like cheese for a month!
I tried it during the half off thing a week ago. It was good for the price. Full price does not seem worth it.
Yes
Bomb
Big fan!!! Lots of flavor, good toppings, crispy pies! The consistency is great as well, never had a bad pizza from there.
Yep
solid
That 4 corner pizza with a turbo crust!!! My #1 pizza when I lived in Atlanta and also in Florida.
Ridiculously expensive!
Very good chain pizza. It's NOT the best in town, but it's good enough that I have it more regularly than the best places in town.
The best and now I must go buy more
Very okay. Local Italian restaurant has better pizza for similar pricing. Jets also gave me heartburn which is rare for me
ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY!!
Yeah
To answer your question, yes.
I recently bought Jet’s pizza as part of my New Year’s resolution to try as many pizzerias in Denver possible. I’d say it’s mediocre compared to more artisan types, but for Midwest type pizza (where I’m from), it’s worth trying once.
If you want a close alternative, the other chain would be Marco’s pizza. Tastes similar and is closer to the same style, than as compared to others in the area.
Hope this helps!
Love Jets. I didn’t realize they had one in Denver
It’s decent. Everyone seems to love it but we didn’t really think it was anything that special. At the end of the day it’s a chain with lower quality ingredients. We prefer Hops and Pie or Mangiami in our neck of woods for Detroit style.
Jets is for sure beaten out by blue pan, but a it's great Detroit style option nonetheless.
For a chain Detroit style pizza that can be delivered it really can’t be beat. Obviously blue plan is better but you have to go there.
It's okay, the sauce is kind of bland and salty at the same time.
It’s equivalent to Pizza Huts in Fort Wayne, Indiana which is a gourmet experience.
is this missing a /s ?
Southerner here, I’ve been in CO for 12 years now. Pizza Hut is a greasy mess that we got to have on field trips in elementary school with the little white plastic thing in the center of the little personal size boxes. Their pizza was greasy, and as my dad calls food that is not great…”well, it’s fuel”.
Jet’s is great delivery chain pizza.
Pizza Huts in northeast Indiana had a franchise owner that put money into them and they were nice sit down restaurants. Their pan pizza is very similar to Jets albeit not square cut. First time I ate at a Pizza Hut outside of Fort Wayne I couldn’t believe how shitty it was.
An article is here.
Portion of interest in quotes below…
“Pizza Hut
Yep, Pizza Hut. We are not kidding. No discussion of Ft. Wayne pizza would be complete without at least mentioning this very specific group of Pizza Huts. Although considered a highly inferior chain outside the area, The Fort Wayne Monthly crowned Pizza Hut as the best in the city. What's the difference? Well, this local franchise is owned by Dick Freeland, who seems to hold his restaurants to a higher standard in terms of ingredients and preparation than Pizza Huts outside the area. Plus, he lives in a castle.”
Yeah, you could sit down too in the ones in the area I was from, but it was a catered thing for field trips in the school I went to. I’m now in a deep dive on Fort Wayne and Dick Freeland.
But that’s really interesting, I love when franchise owners go against the grain and show actual interest in what they’re doing. Dick Freeland died. What a guy. He bred Arabian horses and sold them to Europe and the Middle East. Was a metal worker on rocket launch sites in high school. Board of KFC and Pizza Hut in Poland and the Czech Republic. And he looked fantastic for 76.
And the castle. I’m not surprised, but I’m still fascinated by this character.
Haha he had a helicopter pad at his house as well. He was certainly a big figure in Fort Wayne.
I had such a hard time finding good pizza in Fort Wayne. My go to was Oleys and Big Apple because everything else was just...not good. I had some Pizza Hut there but it didn't jump out as anything above other locations in other states. But I appreciate Jets pizza and that's become my go to take out pizza place.
Olies is the bomb. Did you ever get a sausage roll?Alot of the better pizza in Fort Wayne is at bars like black dog etc. Ollie’s was our go to other than the Hut.
Tried the sausage rolls at a few different places but didn't understand the BBQ sauce taste. Black Dog had good burgers but never tried the pizza. One thing I desperately miss is Ninehouse. I'd probably travel back just for it because I haven't found anything close to that out here.
I wasn’t big on the bbq sauce. I have never heard of Ninehouse. I did the googles and it looks like a southeast Asian joint. Looks really good. I’ll have to try it whenever I go back.
Tasty, but they just took 2 hours to bring my pizza, so I'm currently bitter
Good, but way too expensive. And they WILL NOT answer their phones to take a delivery order.
It is better than Blue Pan. I also like the Sicilian at Dough Counter. Similar square style.
For detroit style outside of detroit, it’s decent… get the 8 corner and add hot honey if possible
Meh.
It's ok. Just not worth the price tag.
Blown away by all the positive feedback. Had it once and never again. Soggy pizza with plastic cheese.
Did you get detroit style?
No but I imagine they use the same cheese
No idea but the normal pizza isn't worth getting, it's meh, the detroit style is why everyone goes there.
I always considered it average to slightly above at best, basically on par with Dominos but probably better than Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, or Garlic Knot. Detriot style square pizzas is their shtick. I liked their 2 slices and 20 oz drink combo deal, it used to be 5 bucks. Its like 8 dollars now. Not bad but nothing I'd drive out of the way for unless I got a coupon or a deal or something. Another weird thing...for some reason, I never really jived with the taste of their more "full sized" offerings, something about the taste is a little off, doesn't hit the same as their singles. The larger pizzas are also over priced.
As someone from Detroit, I think its very bland and poorly textured, but the average person likes it I think.
Its a chain delivery. Think Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars. If I had to pick, Jets would be at the top of those. And they actually offer Detroit style along with thin and New York. There isnt a chain quick delivery that does
I would consider it top tier fast food pizza and honestly have a hard time thinking of a better one. The Detroit style is verrrry good and is always consistent !
