I just spit out my bourbon!
Lick it off the floor you bourbon waster
And there goes my bourbon...
What's a bourbon
Bourbon is Americaβs whiskey. By definition, bourbon is at least 51 percent corn, produced in the United States, and has aged for some time in new, charred oak barrels (there is no minimum defined time unless it is labeled Straight Bourbon Whiskey). It doesnβt, contrary to popular belief, have to be made in Kentucky.
When it comes to whiskey, it commonly comes down to bourbon vs rye or bourbon vs Scotch. Thereβs plenty of good bourbon out there for competitions like that, but itβs not all about ratings. Some of the best brands like Jim Beam, Four Roses, and Makerβs Mark taste just as good neat as they do in classic cocktails like the Manhattan, Mint Julep, and Old Fashioned.
-from some whiskey website
Yea
You 100% haven't wrote that from memory
Seriously
And don't forget it's not whiskey unless it's aged for 3 years and a day
That is so sigma of you.
π¬
Are you a Sigma Gyat Rizzler
Like... Bourbon vanilla? Why are you drinking vanilla?
Iβll never forget when my school decided to have a random drug search on MLk day

So we just posting Family Guy clips now?
It's a rare clip that was removed from TV all over the place so it's kind of dank, Good quality
Can you still find it on streaming services, or pirated?
Dankness determines
Wait, I thought it was on the day of his death, like how we remember the assassinations of Kennedy or Lincoln. Have I had it backwards my whole life?
No thats the joke bro. Cause fox is racist
No, I legitimately mean I thought MLKJ day was in mourning of his death
Bro lives in the white suburbs πππ
Worse, rural farming townπππ
Let me guess, 52-ish miles from Dallas?
Nope, northwest Pennsylvania
Eh close enough
There's no way you could Google who MLK or Abe Lincoln was ad think the holidays were the days they were shot.
It's their birthdays
Celebrating the days they were shot must have just been something your family or town celebrated lol.
Why would we not celebrate Columbus Day on his birthday then. We celebrate his arrival to the americas and that whole debacle. Or better yet, why do we celebrate the fourth of July when the funny little paper was actually ratified a few months later. I was under the impression that MLKJ day was supposed to be a national day of mourning, the day we lost a great figure in the history of the civil rights movement and not the day he was born. I donβt think JFK day (November 25) was the day of his birthday, but granted, I know he died three days prior. There are plenty of holidays that are different than what many people think of.
We celebrate an entire race on the month they got slaughtered the most, not the day or even month they were freed so your not that wrong for that view
Why would we not celebrate Columbus Day on his birthday then
Because the holiday celebrates the anniversary of when he made it to the west...
why do we celebrate the fourth of July when the funny little paper was actually ratified a few months later.
What? The Declaration of Independence was approved and adopted by Congress on 07/04.
I was under the impression that MLKJ day was supposed to be a national day of mourning
Every holiday you mentioned has an explanation for why the dates were chosen to be what they are, only takes a few minutes to look them up.
And that's understandable if you simply weren't interested in the history of any of these holidays until recently.
1: My point with the Columbus Day analogy was to emphasize how we donβt celebrate the manβs birthday after his accomplishments or massive historical event, but I can see how the argument falls flat.
2: despite common belief, the declaration of independence was not congressionally approved until August second, the day we know associate with independence is the day, 7/4, the final draft of the constitution was written. For reference:
https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/on-this-day-the-declaration-of-independence-is-officially-signed
https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/signing-declaration-independence/
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signing_of_the_United_States_Declaration_of_Independence
3: my initial analogy sucked here too, so let me better parse the idea together. Despite the days and the reasons being readily available with a search, keep in mind that when one is told something enough you donβt necessarily think about it as much and draw conclusions . I was always told MLK day was a day of mourning and remembering his impact in the history of the fight for equality, much like how many are told that the declaration of independence was written on 7/4/1776. In my case I always thought it was the day he died because you remember someoneβs legacy on the day of their death rather than the day of their birth. After all, why mourn their passing on their birthday (thatβs what I was trying to get at with the Columbus thing, how we donβt celebrate his finding of the americas on his birthday ). And many people believe that the declaration of independence was not just written, but also signed on July fourth when it really wasnβt ratified until well after (ironically in a way we celebrate the declaration on itβs birthday rather than when it was ratified).
(Yes, I know, this is me β> π€, you donβt have to tell me.)
finally something dank

So Iβm guessing you never heard of Ray Day. Yeah unfortunately thatβs a thing to some. Havenβt heard the term used in a long time thankfully.

MLK was a republican so joke falls flat and uninformed
MLK was a republican so joke falls flat and uninformed
You try to call others uninformed and intentionally lie at the same time.
MLK verbally said he was not a republican or Democrat, he said he would vote for whoever helped black people get civil rights and economic equity.
He's also the reason black people shifted from voting republican to democrat.
When MLK was in prison the Republicans left him hanging. JFK(a democrat) was the one who made the call to get him out of prison.
And ever since then, the Democrats started shifting to support civil rights and the Republicans started trying to appeal to the former Dixiecrat racists.
Yikes stay away from NBC bud you sound like a brainwashed cuckold
So what you're saying is, MLK was lying when he said this?
The Republican Party geared its appeal and program to racism, reaction, and extremism. All people of goodwill viewed with alarm and concern the frenzied wedding at the Cow Palace of the KKK with the radical right. The "best man" at this ceremony was a senator whose voting record, philosophy, and program were anathema to all the hard-won achievements of the past decade.
It was both unfortunate and disastrous that the Republican Party nominated Barry Goldwater as its candidate for President of the United States. In foreign policy Mr. Goldwater advocated a narrow nationalism, a crippling isolationism, and a trigger-happy attitude that could plunge the whole world into the dark abyss of annihilation. On social and economic issues, Mr. Goldwater represented an unrealistic conservatism that was totally out of touch with the realities of the twentieth century. The issue of poverty compelled the attention of all citizens of our country. Senator Goldwater had neither the concern nor the comprehension necessary to grapple with this problem of poverty in the fashion that the historical moment dictated.
On the urgent issue of civil rights, Senator Goldwater represented a philosophy that was morally indefensible and socially suicidal. While not himself a racist, Mr. Goldwater articulated a philosophy which gave aid and comfort to the racist. His candidacy and philosophy would serve as an umbrella under which extremists of all stripes would stand.
In the light of these facts and because of my love for America, I had no alternative but to urge every Negro and white person of goodwill to vote against Mr. Goldwater and to withdraw support from any Republican candidate that did not publicly disassociate himself from Senator Goldwater and his philosophy.
Yeah he didn't like goldwater... his father was republican. Why would he be a Democrat when they are the party of racism. They didn't have a black senator till 1999, Republicans had 22 by the time democrats had thier first. Keep drink the coolaid buddy. The fact you think the party magically flipped one day is hilarious
Yeah he very clearly said he wasn't a Democrat or Republican, which is another part of why it makes no sense for 2020s+ Republicans to keep trying to claim him like yall would support anything he said.
Unless what you're saying is that Republicans today support:
Universal Basic Income, Civil Rights, reparations for black people, and an anti-war stance.
Universal Basic income in for lazy communist, they are and always will be leaders in civil rights, reparations for black people makes me laugh uncontrollable, biden term has had 7 wars, trumps has had 0. My God do you even read at all? Sad, really sad π
In other words, you say things like "MLK was a republican" just to think you're fooling people who don't know any better.
MLK advocated all those things I listed, so the fact you didn't think saying "MLK was a republican" was stupid given yall don't support anything he advocated is a bad look.
Talk about being uninformed...
UBI is a republican idea... literally Alaska has it which is a red state... democrats want to use it to enslave people there is a difference. Talk about ignorant yikes
I understand you're trying your best to troll.
He's also against affirmative action LOL
