8 DOS (unless you are in an FSP) but this can be achieved through a mix of remote and on site work. Remote visits count less than 1 DOS though so if you have a heavy remote assignment, you have to do more remote visits each month to hit the metric.
I have a heavy remote assignment so I routinely do 10-14 visits per month. I know other CRAs who are 100% on site though and are gone 3 days per week.
YMMV
Overall I’m happy, I like their systems and feel supported. I get along with my LM (and all the previous ones before her). She encourage me to take time off and after a heavy work month will tell me to chill the next.
Professionally it would make my life easier to just go on site twice a week to hit that 8 DOS but as a parent with elementary school age kids, it works out better for my personal life to be home more doing remote work. So doing the extra visits sucks but I prefer that as opposed to being on the road 3-4 days per week.
I’ve shared that with every LM they have given me and they have all kept me in assignments that keep me home more. I’m in Oncology so the remote work is more plentiful than in other therapeutic areas though. Infectious Disease work for example seems to be 100% back on site now while many of your major cancer centers across the country don’t ever plan to return to 100% on site monitoring.
