Hi, I sell beverages online and I had been taking pictures of my products using my smartphone. I recently picked up a Canon 2000D and a portable photo studio to take it to the next level and get some good quality shots. I've been having some issues mainly with focussing on the product, I suspect the lens isn't really suitable for what I want to do so I'm looking for some recommendations.

The lens that came with the camera is a Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8. First of all I have to put the camera 1 meter away from the product which isn't ideal, it looks like the lens is 'zoomed in' by default.

The second issue is that it's really hard to get the focus right, auto focus doesn't do a great job so I try to do it manually, which sometimes takes up to 10 minutes getting the focus right by trying to turn the focus ring constantly half a millimeter at a time. Turn it just half a millimeter too far and it's blurry again.

Lastly, once I get the focus right I still end up with parts of the product slightly out of focus. You can see an example here (I mostly shoot cans) https://imgur.com/5LFVnp8  . You can see the focus looks great on the bottom of the can, but the top part is still slightly blurred out. Other times it's the opposite and the top part is clear while the bottom is not. What I want is to bring the entire can into focus.

Any advice or recommendations are appreciated! Thanks
