I don't disagree, however, in the US unfortunately one side has decided they want to tear down the whole system just because the system is trying to hold their cult leader accountable for the first time in his life.
Media covers him negatively? Must be fake news.
He loses an election? Must be rigged.
Impeached for trying to get a foreign power to investigate his opponent and then again for trying to overthrow a democratic election? Witch Hunt.
Charged with numerous crimes and convicted? The courts must be rigged.
There's no scenario in which the base of the party abandons him at this point and that's terrifying because he's shown time and time again he has no limits to what he will do to retain power and enrich himself.
The other side is no less corrupt.
The fact that a man with 40+ years in office and no record of professional accomplishment and a history of racism and discrimination was voted into office is no less concerning. The one accomplishment he can be tied to, the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, is now being vilified and is a big part of the basis for demanded reparations in San Francisco. What was applauded 30 years ago is now being seen as racist, yet no one seems to be talking about that and he has yet to apologize or take any responsibility for it.
This is a policy based argument which I genuinely miss having because it's based in reality. The other side has one policy. Trump says it, that's what is real.
Living in California, many have the same feeling about the current administration, Gavin Newsom, etc. People have become so complacent that they aren't willing to do their own research on the topics. To be fair, most media outlets have become so biased that it can be difficult to know the truth without quite a bit of digging.
