This drives me crazy. I try to comment on a post where the girl is literally crying and punching herself with excitement at securing two shares - and meta deletes it immediately. Apparently I'm trying to 'get money in an unethical way' or something like that.... Which is HILARIOUS since I'm commenting on am mlm scam post that is trying to make money unethically.
Anyway, the point stands. I hope she sees this one day.
Sidenote: Meta's currently being a dick in Australia by refusing to support credible journalism.

It's meta auto bots. I commented on a post once and the Huns mass reported me. Now my account is assumed to be a spam account and quite often my comments (no matter what they say) get automatically deleted. And I can't use my account for a day or two.

Lol, no. It's 1% of commissionable revenue per quarter, shared between all people in the 'pool'. But the company is currently in a lawsuit with their ex president, and he said they artificially lower their profits and commissionable volume so they don't have to pay. The existing 'shares' are worth $42 each, and the most anyone can hold is 3 shares.
That's crazy. If I earned $42 in a quarter, I'd be embarrassed not post it on Facebook. What is wrong with these ppl!?
It's actually sad to watch. You have people who have these shares and KNOW the value still lying to everyone so that they can recruit them into their downline.
Then you have the naive people that don't know the truth, or won't believe it. Or think things must be different to what the evidence tells them.
It's all part of the toxic and manipulative cult mentality that they get sucked into.

Is it this push towards AI for content moderating? I see it make so many errors, so I remain unconvinced (currently) that AI going forward is going to replace a lot of jobs, but certain companies really do seem to be pushing it.
I was on a Facebook thread where people were just being nasty to each other, I couldn’t believe what they were getting away with. Fb hid a comment that I might find offensive, it was “that really sucks.” Thanks for shielding me from that truly offensive comment
Meta/Facebook is absolutely worthless with regards to removing scam comments. FFS I don't even bother reporting them any more because the bots never remove the posts. I just post "Scam" underneath them and move on.
Don't even expend that much energy! Just give a laughing emoji.

I'm convinced Meta makes so much money from the scammers on their platform that they are happy to allow them.
That's the only explanation I can come up with. I got a 30-day ban for reposting something that FB recommended for "nudity,". Shortly after, I got a full-on ad for cartoon porn featuring an underage girl and her uncle. I reported it, and FB found no wrongdoing. I even got a warning for "over reporting false issues" as "retalitory." I swear if it weren't for my elderly family members who only use FB to keep up with my special needs kiddo, I would have deleted my info a long, long time ago.
For real, that's how it goes with them. If you're not scamming or harassing people, they seem to love coming after you for absolutely nothing. I've even seen several legitimate creators with blue check marks lose their monetization because someone else stole their content and reposted it, and Facebook sided with the thief. Like you, I'm really only there for one reason at this point. If that thing disappears, I'm gone.
