I've seen a bunch of people still basically sucking Putins cock as if the whole Ukraine thing hasn't been a series of losses fkr the Russian military
I mean people pointing out that Ukraine isn't winning isn't them worshipping Putin.
As people have pointed out, yeah it's a lot slower than they probably planned but they've still made more gains than is comfortable, and as the world shifts focus from the war, it's going to mean Ukraine gets less support unfortunately.

The concern has always been how long that support will last. Currently, NATO, the US, the EU, and all the other countries involved are unified more than ever. I know there's a lot of overlap in the thing I just mentioned, just trying not to make an error out of ignorance.
However, with the EU largely cut off from the normal supply of Russian gas, the war affecting inflation/supply lines, and winter coming, it remains to be seen how and if that unity will hold. It's the same question that's been asked since the start of the war. My understanding is that most democratic societies don't have the attention span or stomach for long-term wars. Once the public loses passion for the issue, it's easy for politicians to cut costs or redirect funds, or stymie support packages in pursuit of their ambitions/preferences.
Hell, the US is having a bitch of a time renegotiating the nuclear deal with Iran, because Iran feels, rightfully so, that as soon as a deal is signed, the next president can just waltz right in and shit all over it. Because that's exactly what already happened.
Can you name a single key location that Russia has taken and managed to keep?
The fact that they're able to hold the locations for any amount of time is a significant problem for Ukraine, as they're the ones who are on the defensive.
Russia has the resources to continue fighting at a loss, while Ukraine simply does not. If the Soviet-Afghan war is anything to go by, it's not like the Russians are new to staying in wars for longer than needed.
The end result will undoubtedly mean pretty substantial loss for Ukraine, as you have to factor in both military and civilian loses, which we know have been targeted by Russian troops.
As well, there's no news source I've seen stating that either side is "winning" the war, which is again both good and bad for Ukraine. They don't lose any further land, but they're not pushing Russia out.
Or we can just pretend this is a war movie like you want, and that "Ukraine is going to 360 noscope Putin, and scream pogchamp". Like yes, it would be great for Ukraine to be on the front step, but claiming "anyone who doesn't claim Russia is two hours from surrender is a Putin fanboy" is pretty stupid and unrealistic.
With the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan, they weren't going up against a modern army with modern equipment, and they also didn't have crippling sanctions. Also, their invasion of Afghanistan was enough to hasten the fall of the Soviet Union.
As for Russia's gains, it is pretty common for the invading force to make considerable gains in the first months for them to be chipped away at later. Russia has been losing a lot of equipment and manpower, and this wasn't the cakewalk like Crimea was either, so that can reduce morale. Once tourist visas for Europe are gone, I think that reality will really start to set in.
You did a great job of putting words in my mouth there, but you're kind of missing the point that in order for key points to be useful to an invading fkrce, they have to be able to keep them. No one stated either side is winning, I simply stated that I see a lot of people basically sucking Russias dick despite how badly they're doing.
When your military forces are losing so much equipment to civilians that it's getting memed on, your supposedly superior aircraft is getting shot down by a military with decades old equipment, and someone thinks it's a fantastic idea to entrench their men in famously radioactive soil, you might not be doing too hot in your invasion of this relatively tiny state.
Acting like Russia has infinite manpower and funding is also just, wrong. It's worth noting that Ukraine is not the only state Russia risk open combat with, and that Ukraine simply has more allies right now.
Agreed. Maybe I'm ignorant of history, but regardless of their (temporary) territorial gains, it seems one of the biggest blows Russia has suffered is the optics around their military. My perception was that Russia was the second strongest military in the world, or third, or tied with China. The war in Ukraine has shown that any sufficiently modern, organized, and experienced military would absolutely annihilate Russia in open conflict if the specter of nuclear retaliation didn't tie their hands.
I should rewatch this show
This show needs a reboot.
why, its perfect the way it is
Silence!
I have spoken.
have you seen the recent reboots?
Agreed. They would butcher it.
Bring back my propane
Over. My. Dead. Body.
Really can't. Both Tom Petty and Brittany Murphy are dead 😭
Too bad it's already in the works
Damn really? Well.... i have faith as long as it's Mike Judge in control of the whole thing.
He's been doing good with the new beavis and butthead, so I trust it. From what I understand it will be based 15 years after the original series, when the Hills are over the hill.
No. No reboot. They’ll change and add to much of what made it special
Which episode is this from?
I'd guess the 13th episode of season 6
For further context, it's when Bill finds out they gave him secret test drugs to try to make him fight better in the cold, with side effects such as balding and increased weight gain. Has one of my favorite sight gags when Dale is trying to sneak into the record room with his disguises.
