I'd take the guaranteed $3 million. That would be more than enough to retire and live the kind of life I would like to live. I've rolled enough 1s on a d20 to know not to take that kind of a chance!
Same. And I have kids I need to think about as well. With the 3 million I'm guaranteed to be able to provide. I'm not going to risk throwing that away for unnecessary excess.
If My wife and kids also get the option, we're all taking the 90% at a B. Just 1 of us needs to hit the 90% chance and we're set. If its just me one time, I'll take the 3M. The odds on the B are very tempting, but 3M would essentially set us up very comfortably.
The $3 million option is ironically the greedy and selfish option.
Anyone who chooses that is only thinking of themselves. Many people who choose the $100 billion are probably thinking of how they could improve the world since it would be basically impossible for one person to spend that much money in their lifetime anyway.
