For what I see, you're using Blocksy. On a large desktop it looks just fine (with the penguin and all), it seems that the “tablet and small desktops” configuration of CSS are not working correctly or some configuration you've made is being applied. Seems that this are the main culprits:
wp-block-stackable-column stk-block-column stk-column stk-block
I haven't used Blocksy, so no specific idea on what/where to look in the Page Editor.
Yeah that’s what I discovered too - it’s the column. I’ve been trying to convert them into groups / stacks / rows instead of column and using high padding figures.
Seems maybe blocksy isn’t great for mobile. I’ve used default blocks. Might have to change builders / theme 🤦♂️
If you're looking for alternatives: Check GenerateBlocks, it's quite cool and flexible.
Perhaps contact Blocksy support, to see if there's something wrong with your setup, or if you're facing a bug?
Hope you can get it sorted out soon!
I found GP to be quite heavy on load times. I have tried using elementor, Divi, and orange. Somehow feels like the only way to build is to HTML from scratch 😑
You have a bunch of whacky CSS code, eg
.stk-656155e {
padding-top: 60px !important;
padding-right: 225px !important;
padding-bottom: 60px !important;
padding-left: 60px !important;
margin-right: 800px !important;
}
Don't use massive padding/margin values like that - I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do there. And don't use !important - learn how CSS specificity works.
The !important tags were generated by Blocksy. I believe the padding-right was to force text left (making body multiple lines) without using columns whilst viewing in desktop. The image is a background.
Columns mess it up. Tried converting to row / stack hence why padding was used this way for that container (desktop) but mobile gets stuffed up.
I appreciate the link. Having a read
Wow, that was difficult to wrap my head around 😂 from what I understand, using the !important code overrides the CSS for this element (possibly because it’s outside of the global CSS for the theme / global block CSS set; is that right?
