Cheapest 2024 Tacoma I’ve seen with 4wd so far
I'm complaining about "inflation" how is time irrelevant?
It's gouging.
Also even if you assume it's... not relevant... you can go buy a used raptor for $37k. I struggle to understand why anyone would buy a Tacoma anymore. If you don't need a big truck go buy a Maverick for $23k, if you need a bigger truck buy a lightly used 2.7l F-150 and get way better gas mileage than a Tacoma with higher tow rating, way more comfort, bigger bed, etc for less than $37k. "but muh offroading" that 99.9% of tacoma owners never do....
I meant the price you paid for your 2021 is irrelevant to anyone who wants to buy a new tacoma right now.
I don't disagree with you at all. I'm in the market and likely won't be going with the tacoma for the same reasons you mentioned. It just doesn't make sense.
How much are you willing to pay for a truck that won’t leave you stranded or with an unexpected repair bill?
$42,000 for one of those, with all the luxuries I could ever want.
$5,000 discount off original MSRP.
And a limited in the 2024 will cost you like $60,000.
And the prices go up every year.
As the manual transmissions are failing after a couple thousand miles. These trucks are engineered in America and built in Mexico. They aren’t anything special.
Do you have a link to that story of manual transmission failing after a few miles?
Are you looking for an article or the post from a forum? I don’t know of an article about it, but it was on Tacoma world earlier this year. Somebody’s transmission went out and the dealer made it sound like there are a lot needing replacement transmissions. I’m still looking to buy a new one with a manual, but I’m not naive enough to think that they are flawless. I’m sure Toyota will work out the problem if it’s just bugs in a new model.
