Appreciation post: Zach grown so much as a person and creative, and I'm so happy to see Keith and Eugene thriving in their respective projects 💙💚💜

I have actually stopped watching the Try Guys regularly save for some Eat the Menu and Try Wives episodes, but one thing I noticed is that Zach has grown so much from 4-5 years ago. He now seems more confident and overall exudes such positive vibes. It terms of appearance, he also looks so much better with his hair and fashion sense. He has always said that his work is mostly behind-the-scenes, and I just appreciate how he never steals the limelight from the other Try Guys and is like the glue that holds everyone together. I truly have more respect for him now especially when he said that he was like the captain of the ship in handling this controversy (based on what he said from the most recent podcast)

Also, I'm so happy to see Keith and Eugene thriving as well in their respective personal projects. They've always been so talented and there is so much more in store for them apart from being a Try Guy.

There's nowhere to go but up for these three.

I am looking forward to watching their new content from now on.

As for Ned, I'm so deeply disappointed in him and how he negatively affected his company, friends, and family. I am still dumbfounded as to how he managed to have an affair that risked everything he had.

Zach is also quite vocal about his chronic pain and disability, which has given voice to the community as well. His work on these topics has educated so many people. I read a comment where one person found his coworker had autoimmune disease and was surprised when the OP knew what it was and was so knowledgeable about it and OP said it was all because of Zach. That is astounding.

As someone who has auto immune diseases myself, Zach's openness, positivity and realness has inspired and encouraged me over the years. I love all the Try Guys equally (NOT Ned), but Zach has a soft spot in my heart for how he's given a voice to the community.

Thank you! I have chronic pain too and wondered about his. Maybe he got diagnosed late in age because it worsens with age, so it probably wasnt as bad as when he was a kid…

From what I have seen at least when my boyfriend was diagnosed at least it was such a long journey to being diagnosed. Symptoms can be similar to ms sometimes so they often rule that out first and it seems that since it's not as talked about it was overlooked. My boyfriend first started going in for chronic back pain after an injury brought it out at age 15 and continued to go in regularly to monitor progress and figure out what it was until I want to say he was about 22 because I remember I had graduated college. In that time I remember him having received so many misdiagnoses. So many appointments to run this test then that test just to rule out one diagnosis before it progressed enough that it was obvious and they were like oh that's what is going on. I know my boyfriend's is pretty severe and they have been pushing surgery since the diagnosis due to severity thinking he will be unable to walk at some point. He has days where he can't already and he's 32 now. I also heard it's harder for women to be diagnosed because the symptoms tend to present backwards with women where they start with intestinal issues before the back pain progresses as badly.

I know they mentioned that they were monitoring Reddit last month but I really hope they’re still sticking around and he sees this because he deserves to know how beloved and appreciated he is by the fans. So if Zach is reading: we love you, we are so amazed by all the wonderful things you have done, and we can’t wait to see where life will take you!

This is why the "Ned was always the least popular blah blah blah" comments come off as revisionist history to some. Zach was the least liked before. Even Zach was like "my schtick is nobody loves me" sometimes. But he has clearly grown creatively and as a person and it has not gone unnoticed by fans.

I think that was true for the first few years of try guys! But years ago, even random viewers like my flatmates who don't even remember the Try Guys' individual names, started warming to Zach based on his honesty & confidence about his condition. Zach has been really popular for a while now.

Meanwhile, idk how true this is, but people say Ned has been bringing competitive or boring vibes onscreen over the last few years?

I genuinely disliked Ned from the start, so I can't tell lol. As many people as there were who loved his smarmy-voiced wiggly-eyebrows "I love my wife" shtick, it's definitely plausible that it made an equal number of people (like me) go "err right" from the start. People say "you're only giving retrospective hate after the fiasco", but I obviously never hate commented about it because I'm not a terrible person. (And I'm not a cynical person, I consider myself almost a teenage level romantic, it's just not normal to be that publicly insecure about your marriage)

I agree! Zach has always been my favorite Try Guy! He exudes winning underdog vibes 🫑 He is someone to giggle with, a friend to all. He’s on the podcast the most and I appreciate listening to his weekly musings. Through this, you’re absolutely right - he’s absolutely grown. He’s so emotive and hopeful. It’s the small acts of kindness that make me admire him the most - eg noticing Miles’ shoes, encouraging him to take better care of himself in this way (indirectly) if that makes sense

Keith has always been my favorite. I love the eat the menu content and the Tennessee stories. And the fact that he was a band and theater kid is a plus for me. I like the way he looks at the world. Eugene was my second favorite. I like his theatricality. His coming out video was amazing. Honestly, if I had half his coolness and style, I would be over joyed. If I'm honest, Zach and Ned were tied as my third faves. I loved them all and found watching them to be a joy for the most part. That is why I was disappointed when Ned did this. He took something I found comfort in and made it toxic. I'm going to have a hard time watching old videos with him in it now. That said, I'm glad the other guys have handled this well. That will make watching new videos a lot easier.
