I think it's so sus how no large news article has talked about Creators for PalestineDiscussion

(Idk what other subreddit to use, so I went with this one because the Tryguys were a big part of hosting the livestream)

I think it's crazy how the livestream hasn't been covered by seemingly ANY big news outlet! And I'm talking about companies that do make articles about social media people sometimes

They raised 1.5 MILLION DOLLARS! And it's absolutely one of the biggest collaborations of popular creators that's happened. When I was watching it, it felt like such a big moment, having all of these different creators I love in the same space, putting in effort to raise money for an extremely important cause

Youtubers aren't known in the mainstream media to do this kind of stuff, and what these guys did compared to what traditional celebrities haven't done (who have ALL the money in the world to give) is SO notable

It's obvious they're not talking about it because they don't want to show support for Palestine in any way.

Ryan Garcia in CommunityFluff

Obviously we've seen the "Try Cast" in loads of other things. But my subs today has a full episode of Community with Ryan Garcia in the thumb! For a second I couldn't imagine I'd missed him in all my rewatches.... but, this is season 6 and I don't typically watch that season 😬 Anyways. Community, season 6, Queen Studies and Advanced Waxing. Dean Pelton's "partner", Domingo, is Ryan Garcia.

No spoilers No-Recipe Road Trip review!SpoilerDiscussion

I just watched it streaming on Max, and I actually really loved this show. I learned a lot, and it was a lot of fun. It felt pretty authentic to the WAR format, too, and expanded on it in a really cool way. I definitely recommend it.

I can definitely see why Zach throws so much shade about their show's reception being ruined. I'd be so fucking proud of this show, if it were me. Some of it really reminded me of Zach's graveyard recipe, which shone a light on things, people, and places you'd never hear about.

It wasn't "No Reservations", or anything, but as someone who doesn't really like food content and would never watch something like this on TV without being prompted by the appearance of creators I like, I really did learn a lot. Good shit, and glad I got some insight into a lot of people, places, cultures, and food in America!

It made me wanna travel. I never thought about how cool some shit my own country is and how much is already there and how interesting it is. I love that they went to a lot of more "obscure" US cities, too.

No big spoilers, but it's worth watching if you're interested. It has my favorite and IMO one of the funniest Eugene WAR entries. Even if you just watch for things that "aged like milk"—of course it has plenty, you already knew that—I mean, it also genuinely features yogurt at one point, so very literally, some things aged like milk.

I hope the Tryad are still proud of this, because I'm sure as hell proud of them. It was a really fun show.

Eat the Venue: What happens to the food?Question

I remember watching old “Eat the Menu” videos and they mention about giving the leftovers to their staff/Food Babies (when that was a thing), but with Eat the Venue, it’s not so easy to just give the food to their team, so does anyone know what they do with it all?

One thing I am missing on the 2nd try platformDiscussion

So I went ahead and took advantage of the discount being offered for the first week and signed up for a year of the 2nd try streaming service! I have to say it is a really nice app! I have not come across any glitches as of yet! I noticed they have yet to post any old content, especially all content that included he who they will not name! But I’m sure that will come in time.

The one thing that I I am having a hard time adjusting to is no comments. I didn’t even realize how much I was enjoying scrolling through comments when watching a try guy video. I just wantedI just want to see what other people out there thought. Part of me realizes it’s probably healthier to fully concentrate on a piece of content without thinking I need to give my two cents or read other peoples two cents. Perhaps not having access to comments on the app is good for my personal development. But I still miss it. I guess I could still always come to Reddit if I really wanna say something or hear what other people have to say.

Advice for getting used to discordQuestion

Okay so I was one of the people missing the comments feature. I don’t want the guys to go out of their way/spend more money to have comments, especially having to have it moderated, etc.

However, I am not a regular discord user. I am having a lot of trouble figuring out the best way to use it without getting overwhelmed/lost. I feel like there’s sooooo many people online at once and there’s so much to read - how do y’all do it??

Any tips for a newbie? lol I know this is so embarrassing plz don’t make fun of me I’m trying lmao

EDIT: edited to fix grammar/typo

Try Guys Try... Which one is your favorite? Discussion

I had so much time this weekend and decided to spend a chunk of my time watching old Try Guys Try... videos. Including the ones on Buzzfeed and wow did I miss the good ol' days. Which one is your favorite? I have a few: Try Guys Try Ballet and Try Guys Try Stepping. So I guess I like when they perform. This is why I was so emotional watching their last performance which was the Color Guard vid.

Without a Recipe finale not on 2nd Try AppQuestion

I subscribed to 2nd Try and love it, it’s great. But I’ve been going through watching all the live events I didn’t pay for when they came out and noticed Without a Recipe season 6 live finale wasn’t there. Has anyone found it anywhere? Would love to watch!

Has anyone else not jumped to '2nd Try' yet...Question

I'm tempted cause it looks fun and like I'm "missing out" but unsure...

Anyone else in the same or similar boat?

Pride MonthnsfwSpoilerVideo

In a capitalistic world where companies turn their logos and products into rainbows for the month of June, 2nd Try LLC and its affiliated products decided they weren’t doing that, but instead opening the month with a man sucking another man’s toes 🤪😭

What a wild episode, I hope to not see toe sucking on the channel any further lmao

WHAT TRYPOD WAS THIS?Podcast

This Miles Nation theme song that was like "Coming this summer to netflix" and for the life of me I can't remember which episode is it. Can someone let me know please?

2nd Try App Vizio TVQuestion

Hey all! So I got the app on my phone (apple) but I can’t seem to find it on my Vizio Smart TVs app selection. Any advice? I’d hate to only be able to watch on my smaller screens haha

Best WAR episode?Discussion

If you were to recommend one WAR episode to someone who has no prior opinion or knowledge of the guys or 2nd try staff, which would you pick?

I find myself often wanting to recommend the channel/show to people, and I don’t think there’s a particularly bad episode so I usually just say any of the WAR episodes are entertaining for any person to start with, but I’d love to know if there’s a vague general consensus that there’s one episode that’s funnier/more entertaining than the others.

edit: alright, tested out some of the top runners on my parents just to see. we watched gingerbread houses, oreos, bread, then boba. their favorites seemed to be boba and oreos. they enjoyed zach and jared the most it seemed. (then I was on a roll and we watched escape the kitchen & and ep of phoning it in. both hits aswell)

How does the streamer compare to YouTube financially?Question

I’ve been curious about the financial differences between the streamer and YouTube. There’s a yearly subscription fee for the streamer, but on YouTube they get paid X amount for every view. Is there really such a discrepancy that the streamer subscription equates to an average person’s views? Or am I just missing something here?

Playlists or list of video help Video

Does anyone have a list of videos that feature Jared in release order? And Johnny too for that matter. I really want to watch their videos and evolution with the try guys.

TIA!

Do Videos on 2nd Try Have SponsorsQuestion

Thinking about picking up a subscription, do their new videos there still have in-video sponsors?

What is Eugene’s family secret?Discussion

In the fatherhood, DNA, and Tyler the medium videos, Eugene hints at some big family secret he has. What do yall think it is?

Zach’s statement on Palestine was awesome Discussion

I’m sure by now most of us have seen or at least seen clips of the creators for Palestine livestream. Keith and Zach started the stream speaking about the project and why they’re supporting Palestine. I was so proud of Zach’s statement, saying things like “it is not antisemitic to be pro-Palestine” and the reference of what Jewish people went through with nazism and what the Palestinians are experiencing now. I just have to say that was awesome from him, and it made me feel so relieved as a fan. Side note, the way they volunteered to host it at the try guys studio 🥹🥹🥹

Youtube vs. 2nd Try: Slight differences in editing?Video

Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

I started re-binging WAR on the 2nd Try app today, and I noticed that there are slight differences in the editing between the version that was posted on Youtube versus the version on the app. For example, the WAR Cheesecake episode on Youtube is 9 seconds longer than the same episode on 2nd Try. Initially I thought that perhaps they edited stuff out (e.g., scenes related to Ned), which would be easy enough. But instead the only instances where I actually noticed differences in content thus far was in some pieces of dialogue that were not in the Youtube version but are now in the 2nd Try version. (This was nothing groundbreaking, just slightly later cuts, with an additional sentence or two. Like, judge Nicole saying something to the effect of, "Who's the expert?" while judging Zach's cake or Ned defending his plan of putting ice cream into his cake.)

This strikes me as so unexpected - editing something out is easy, but why would they intentionally store and then publish an ever so slightly longer version of the video? Did the guys mention that they would publish re-edited videos on 2nd Try?

And has anyone noticed bigger changes in editing?
