What do you guys mean by peeling layers off of a Gemini and finding nothing? How do you attempt to peel?

I posted a while back about how as a Gemini woman, I’ve been chased by mostly Scorpio men. A lot of Scorpios on this sub stated that never again would they date a Gemini because you peeled their layers and found nothing. It seems to be a very common way of describing a lack of emotional depth in someone. But how do you guys actually try and peel layers off? How deep are we talking?

I think I’m just trying to mentally prepare myself if I do end up dating a Scorpio man. But mostly every Scorpio man that chased me easily scared me off because I felt overwhelmed and never liked them that way to begin with. Like by sending me multiple texts even if they were left on read and confessing their love for me even if I only knew them for a little while.

As a woman with a Scorpio stellium (I have 4 stelliums as far as I know), who has been drawn to Geminis and Scorpios, there's the need for emotional depth. With Scorpio, we can't always be lighthearted and go with the flow, even if we wanted to. With Gemini, it can seem like they only want to have fun, and wouldn't want anything deeper. Unfortunately, Gemini has the negative stigma of being unable to settle, whereas Scorpio is the opposite: when they fall, they fall deeply, and have a hard time moving on. Granted, this also depends on other placements (like I have an Aries stellium, which helps me move on much faster than the average Scorpio).

Gemini might initially attract Scorpio, because they seem full of life and wide-eyed, in awe. But if Scorpio feels like Gemini can't handle their deeper feelings, Scorpio is gonna feel like Gemini lacks depth.

Because I have Aries moon, 7th house ruled by Aries, Venus in Aries and Lilith in Aries, I'm ridiculously passionate and sexual—I don't talk about this stuff either, and usually put up a tough Aries front because I've had to. But yeah, with my Pisces placements spanning through the 5th house, my intuition is key for my creativity.

I didn't understand why people found that so intimidating for the longest time, and it's pretty much impossible to intimidate me. Like, I didn't understand why people felt intimidated by me, "I'm just asking questions..." confused like John Travolta in Pulp Fiction

In short, I'm that gif of the ostrich chasing the giraffe shouting, "LET ME LOVE YOU!"

And because of my Mercury in Aquarius, I'm very idiosyncratic. I'm very good at breaking social norms in a way that gets people out of their shell laughing.

On the flip side, if I have a depressed mood, just gotta let me brood and ugly cry alone until it passes. 😆😆

Oh man, I have not, as a general rule, talked about romantic fantasies I would love, and it's really about the little things! But it's hard because as assertive as I am with expressing needs, I'm learning a lot of people aren't as considerate of the little things. It gets tiring to keep asking: "This would make me feel special, please do it." 😒 Like, I don't want to have to be your manager to receive those expressions of affection, because if I have to ask a lot, I already don't feel loved. Sometimes I ask directly what someone wants, but I also enjoy just simply being around them, observing them, figuring out what they want, and either making something artsy they would love, or buying it for them, with really putting thought into the detail, not just for the gift, but the card and the wrapping. I love making people feel like royalty.

Scorpio stellium sounds intense but awesome. The worst part about me is that I have a mutable grand cross and I’m a Gemini stellium. My sun, Venus and Mercury are all in Gemini. I am everything but serious and love to joke around. But I’m actually a huge cry baby about the little things, perhaps because of my Pisces moon. I’m also extremely quiet and introverted and rarely go out. I’ll blame my Taurus rising for that.

I wonder if i’d be able to handle a Scorpio man’s emotions. I crave someone who actually wants me and never makes me question that they do. I was with a Pisces man for 7 years and it was extremely toxic. He lied and cheated and barely ever wanted to see me but would tell me he loved me. So now I’ve been getting attention from this Scorpio man who I find attractive and I barely know him, but he went up to me and stared with his piercing eyes to tell me that my smile is so inviting. I also find him always watching me or taking peeks at me.

I’m obsessed with the way he seems to be attracted to me, but even when he complimented me I tried to make a joke that most people find me intimidating so it’s crazy he thinks I look inviting. I felt kind of bad but tried to save it by thanking him since he seemed to be sincere and a total sweetheart about the compliment. He expressed some nervousness as well. I’m just concerned I’ll end up making him hate me somehow because there is a significant age gap, which is why I’m reluctant to be 100% flirty.

Regarding age gaps, I think it's wise to air on the side of caution (at least until both parties have gotten through their 20s).

What is a grand cross? Is that Human Design (I'm still learning about it)?

I'm always amused by how similar people can be with different placements 😂 I'm a Pisces sun, and Pisces sun girls and women love to be little shits sometimes, like cats (guilty). But I have an Aries moon, so I'm easily amused, and have a ridiculous guffaw of a laugh. I have an Aquarius Mercury, so I'm both able to feel so deeply it hurts because of Pisces stellium and Scorpio stellium, but I am also idiosyncratic AF and can find the dark humor in anything and everything, just have to be in the right headspace.

For Scorpio, I think we're self-conscious about making other people feel uncomfortable, because we know we're intense. We can't help it. I have both the signature Scorpio gaze that pierces into your soul, but my eyes can also look super dreamy too (again, headspace lol).

He does sound like he's genuinely attracted, but absolutely nothing wrong with taking your time.

Oddly, I've never really meshed with Pisces men. I don't know if it's that I haven't met them (which is weird), or we just don't click. Scorpio men are more likely to make you feel wanted, but I have had a Scorpio bf (now ex) who made me feel more like an emotional support animal than gf. He wanted to control my sexuality (I'm a very sexual person). My Scorpio ex before him was great, but I couldn't stand that he would emotionally stonewall difficult conversations (Taurus moon).

As for intensity, yeah... I've been called that many a times. 😆 I intimidate other Scorpios lmaoo

ETA: I emotionally process super rapidly, because of the Aries moon. I literally did not know other people actually do not normally process that quickly, so I probably seemed like a huge asshole. Now, I just need honesty: don't know what you're feeling? That's fine, let me know. Not sure if you're ready to talk about it? That's fine, let me know (and an estimated time, like not today, not this week, not for a long time, or never). Just need time to process? That's fine (and estimated time, just keep me updated). People often mistake my high standards for perfectionism. No, I just need to know where someone is at so I can make informed decisions, that's all.

Scorpio Sun, Aries moon, Taurus rising woman. I honestly find myself talking in circles with Geminis. It’s like I’m trying to make a point and they just don’t necessarily “get it” or they disagree and try to change my opinion (good luck with that).

I personally get along with Sagittarius, Pisces, Cancer, and Taurus more. These people are often able to agree to disagree, and we can actually have discussions where both parties learn. Geminis in my experience sometimes say whatever to move the discussion along, not necessarily taking it seriously (which I see as a lack of depth).

I’m a Taurus rising too! I don’t disagree here, you’re right about me. I was trying to deny this Scorpio man’s compliment when he told me I have an inviting smile. I’m very stubborn in my own perception of myself that I don’t accept other people’s that easily, especially if it’s a positive one. So I downplayed it, but immediately realized that I shouldn’t do that and thanked him. He probably thinks I lack brain cells because he thought I wasn’t understanding. And I took the conversation somewhere else out of nervousness, which is the talking in circles part. I probably left the poor guy confused. I think it’s great in a workplace environment at least since I keep things very surface level. I get many downvotes on this subreddit for any response I make, so I’m expecting that for this one if anyone reads it.

Dang. I’m sorry you often get downvotes. The way I see it, there’s no room to learn that way. You seem self aware and genuinely regretful for the way your conversation went so I wouldn’t count myself out just yet if I were you. Scorpios love effort and people being real. If you feel compelled to explain yourself to him he would probably appreciate it.

I also wouldn’t beat myself up over it. Sometimes people aren’t naturally compatible and that’s apart of the process of seeing if someone can fit into your life. Either both sides compromise on communication or both walk away. No harm done.

ETA: Scorpios are naturally mysterious, and love mysteries ourselves. I think that’s why you’re attracting Scorpio men! 😂

My father is a Gemini, Mom is a Scorpio, I’m a Virgo that has only been with Geminis… Geminis take you on a ride… But a rollercoaster one. You’re just stuck on this loop and you don’t really get anywhere towards the future. They talk a lot, but actions speak louder than words. In the present moment it will be exciting. If you’re a fire sign or maybe a Sag this might be great for you. Geminis are very flirty and playful, but again it’s not something I found that ever leads to stability. They’re very much children, and one thing I have noticed after talking to my Mom is that sometimes you have to treat them like children. (Maybe just men as well) That you let them come up with the idea, even though you were two steps ahead. You don’t give in to their games, tantrums… If they ghost you for whatever reason, you just act like you don’t care. Very similar to a kid throwing a fit in a store. Mom has been married to my father 25 years, and I don’t understand why. I think she’s more of the mother figure for him. I am done having relationships with Geminis… They very much show that they’re Peter Pan.
