Is REI turning into an Amazon copycat?
why does this subreddit now feel like a marketing space controlled by the company?
How's it that none of the latest actions by the Union in the different locations had any update here? They used to be posted as they were happening.
Are the union members not active anymore here or are they being censored?
This used to be a very active subreddit in every sense, including company policies and politics, consumer responsibility, ethical issues about the products sold at REI, and questions made by new or attempting workers, but now it is basically sales management. and quite in your face advertisement.
If the environment, workers' rights and fair trade are not anymore values defended by REI, why should we still put our $$$ there? There are cheaper places to do business with,m and certainly more moral stores too!
