Is the weather in an old PA steel town that much better than Pittsburgh? Seems like the weather would be similar in both places given where other steel towns are located.
I see the sun at some points between October and May here so it's way better
I have only spent one winter in Pittsburgh so far, but I just don't get this. The sun shines frequently on cold days. Maybe not all day, but I didn't recall a single week where you couldn't get some sunshine and some days it was out most of the day.
I just moved here after living my whole life in a very northern part of the the PNW and I feel like I've moved to a sun drenched paradise in comparison... But I keep seeing people complain about "how cloudy" it is.
Maybe we had an extra sunny winter this year or maybe it's just my perspective.
Most places might seem sunny compared to the PNW. but Pittsburgh has over 200 days a year of 100% cloud coverage. It is very depressing and even when there are clouds it’s never really blue. I’ve been back here for three years after living in other cities and I’m ready to leave as soon as possible.
