100% between Symmetra and Moira.
Gotta go with Moira though because Symmetra could be a Warlock multiclass with her corporate patron whereas Moira is more self-made like a Wizard.
Symmetra has much more of an artificer vibe than wizard
I agree. I forget Artificer exists because WotC never gives them subclasses
True. It sucks that the class is behind a paywall meaning like any new content cannot be related to it in any way
Tho likely Torb will take the artificer role
Yup, exactly. Tho symmetra is a pretty good pick too!
Sombra should’ve been rogue! List is rigged
You know what I think when someone says "rogue"? A healer with a familliar.
Which is entirely NOT what a rogue is in dnd
Rogue, rouge is a perfume
Touché I will change it
The OP just choose what ever they want, it's not a vote. So yeah, rigged!
Obviously 😭
Hanzo 👏 sorc👏 is 👏 a 👏 bad 👏 take 👏
I got downvotes for saying that. Illari is a much better sorcerer.
Let's make the archer a sorcerer and the gunslinger a ranger...
I can see ashe as a ranger tho, bob works as an animal companion
Do you actually know what rangers are??? They're not about ranged weapons but about ranging over their land.
Yup. With a fkin bow.
Bruh literally every class can use ranged weapons
Yeah a wizard can take a feat to use a gun, so Soldier should obv be wizard!

drakewarden ranger
Honestly symmetra is my pick, not only is her hard light shit basically magic, but she also honed her abilities through rigorous academic study, and has a spell casting focus. , that being her bionic hand.
Also she dies to a strong breeze, very wizard
You guys lost it at monk
Agreed. Kiriko as rogue??? Bad. Bad. Bad.
man #1 comment was Roguehog and op picked Kiriko anyways because she is cute and he hails from r/ Overwatch but got muted because they didnt want to see the rest of his daily tier list on their page
Yeah, Monks don’t have a shield mechanic like Ram
It doesn’t need to be perfect, his shield is the projectile catching
If only there was a character that
-perfected the use of a meele weapon
-uses throwing weapons
-wallclimbs
-has a movement ability and
-can literally deflect projectiles
Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just pointing out that Ram’s shield can be reflavoured into a monk ability. I hate the whole back half of this list anyways, people see a single element and make it their whole deal e.g Hanzo the sneaky bow guy is a sorcerer because dragons
monks in dnd are bad at using melee weapons and throwing them tho, they just kinda punch things and run. Ann even then GENJI IS A WAY BETTER PICK!!!!
Why not zen?
Too slow. D&D monks are characterized by speed and agility.
Thank you, I don't know much about DnD obviously
I wasn’t talking about character choice. Just that shield can be flavoured as projectile character
Dnd monks and irl monks are not the same, go educate yourself, plus ram is a monk too
Ive played a few monks in baldurs gate and divinity original sin and I have a DnD group I play with. Half of these choices are complete madness. What kind of a rogue heals? Your sorcerer knows one spell and uses a bow which they don’t have proficiency with?? You took a random off the cuff comment from Sombra about Moira fucking with Signa’s head and turned it into a pact with a demon? He’s a scientist his power does not come from her! It’s completely wrong.
Ok I like to think that sigmas deal was with the universe itself. Like some sort of cosmic pact
So he’s more like a wizard who learned to use the innate magical power of the universe then right?
Not if you view the universe as a sentient entity
So then everybody is actually a warlock because all of our souls are pledged to the universe
We don’t draw power from the entity so no
How do you know?
I agree with you but I think rammatra deserves monk, he's closer to a DnD monk than Zen and he's also literally a monk.
Ram is not a close as Zen because imo Zen is based off a DnD monk, who in turn are the basis for fantasy monks to begin with. DnD monks use learned Ki energy as a power source, Zen uses some mystical energy to throw out his balls, float and heal. DnD monks have the ‘way of tranquility’ subclass which really fits with Zen’s entire kit and his outlook on life.
Ram is okay, more like an evil monk, but Zen is what I would describe as more traditional and a better fit.
I said I agreed with ram, nothing about sigma, still think Moria or even zen works better
I said nothing about irl monks. Zen is way more of a DnD way of tranquility subclass monk considering his entire kit and use of a learned mystical force perfectly fits the description. Sure Ram is a monk but most monks are not evil slavers. Ram is more of an oathbreaker paladin that any subclass of monk.
Should genji be the monk then
Fast
Able to hit multiple times in quick succession
Ranged deflect
Ram is also a monk too, so it works as he’s got duty of blows, has a staff which is a classic monk weapon etc
The list is just so whack. Your sorcerer uses a long bow for all their attacks. Your rogue is a healer and buffer. Your warlock is a well studied scientist.
Rogue - Genji or Sombra
Sorcerer - Illari or Kirko
Warlock - Kirko or Illari
Wizard - Sigma, Mei or Moira
Using sneaky close range attackers for Rogue, is good. Using magical characters for the spellcasters (with healing subclasses) and then the well studied book nerds with weird abilities to cover a wizard.
Oh my god, someone with a good take for once in the comments of these. Honestly I think OP is high as well for choosing ashe for ranger and not hanzo and putting hanzo as the sorcerer for some reason
I think, ignoring what the weapon actually is, is fine for this list. We can just abstract ranged weapons to wands and bows, if it fits the purpose. Hanzo as the sorcerer makes so much sense in every other regard that simply reskinning his bow to a wand, shouldn't be a problem, it's just unfortunate that he uses a weapon that would also commonly be found in D&D.
I don't disagree with you and your alternative picks, I just think Hanzo as a sorcerer is totally fine.
JERKED
Brig not being the paladin is pretty off
she was a paladin before OP changed it for some reason
If anything she’s closer to like a bard or cleric imo. Rein is the only correct choice for paladin
Paladins attack/defend + heal. Brig is the best pick.
So do clerics? With a greater focus on healing, and given that she's support that makes more sense to me.
I don’t know, maybe.
heal is such a small part of the paladin that it just doesn't make sence when rein is just better in every aspect except healing
Healing is, in fact, a big part of paladin depending on your oath subclass.
Which subclass, does in fact, has healing as a primary part?
I would mostly say Devotion, but I think it really comes down to the paladin auras (which are similar to how most of her healing/armor works) and lay on hands.
Devotion has 0 healing in it's kit. There are 0 paladin auras that heal you and lay on hands is not what brig does. She just fit cleric better, dealing some melee damage, tanking a but and using healing word to heal.
Saying healing is a primary thing in paladins is crazy.
Tbh i would say kiriko but kiriko is already chosen so ill go with moira
I will throw Mei in the ring for this one.
As a researcher she probably has high Intelligence, which is great for a wizard. Her attacks are: LMB Ray of Frost (deals little damage, but slowes the target down), RMB Ice Knife (more for the aesthetic), E Wall Of Force, Shift Tiny Hut (a small dome that protects her and allows her to regain some powers and health) and Q is Cone of Cold.
She even has the Find Familiar spell, because she has Snowball.
All in all a great pick for wizard, I'd say.
Her shift is more like the tomb of levistus
You're right, but I tried to find wizard abilities to reflect her abilities, based on her intelligence.
Fair enough I just thought it was funny lol
Where's the final post 🔫
I was busy sorry
Dunno but torb is artificer
you got it
rofl. We're getting jerked. Next answer is ball. H8 h8 h8.
Moira wizard
im still surprised doomfist is not the fighter
wtf. Warlock or sorcerer should have been Moira.
Zenyatta. wizards are the definition of and glass canons
Hot take: warlock should have been Reaper, since Moira enables his powers and is kinda his patron, and Sigma could have been a wizard since his powers are derived from his studies on black holes. Maybe even sorcerer
D.VA cuz her ult is literally fireball
Junkrat should be artificer, character like sym or torb don't really fit, artificers are creators of magical items such as potions (and grenades by extent, kinda like bg3 stuff where you can throw a potion and it gives an effect to the one that got it) and scrolls, basically imbuding magic by using either herbs or other methods
Imagine junkrat with a launcher that shoots explosive flasks and a tire full of scrolls with explosive sigils
Torb is literally an artillerist artificer.
Why is Brig not a crusader?
Why didn’t ppl choose Moria for warlock and then sig for wizard???? Moria is literally misses GiveAndTake and sig is levitating ball thrower they just ain’t on fire
Y'all lost the plot at Monk. How do you pick Ramattra over Zenyatta, the like... actual monk?
dnd monks are known for not using weapons half the time and just punching everything, of which ram is second only to doomfist for existing solely to punch stuff. a few monk subclasses use projectiles or projectile spells but generally it is purely melee weapons/fists. and that ram was or maybe still is a monk he is just quite violent but that does not detract from the other criteria, especially as ‘lived in peace but forced to fight’ is an extremely monk thing to be doing
Ramattra is also a literal monk though? Whilst also using more melee combat than zen
Not only does rammtra fit a DnD monk more, but in the overwatch lore, he was also a monk like Zenyatta
Zen. His balls are magic .
"Sometimes magic is just science that we do not yet understand" or something - Zen
🤮🤮🤮
Moira. Earned her powers through academic study, also they look quite similar to actual magic
