50 Cent mocks Diddy hotel footage with video calling him ‘sick son of a -----'
articleWith this, combined with some of the barbs Kendrick and Drake have hit each other with, it’s kind of crazy to see such a cultural shift where rappers are dissing each other for how they treat women.
I really hoped that was true. But it seems that, at least in the Kendrick/Drake feud, abuse against women is just used to diss each other, they aren’t sincere about it.
Yesterday someone posted in the Kendrick sub, about the allegation he beat Whitney, the Dave Chapelle standup clip “I don’t believe it’s true, and if it is true…. Meh? (Shrug)” And the commenters were agreeing with it.
So fuck Kendrick fans for pretending to care when it suits them.
Just to be clear, I’m a huge Kendrick fan and I really don’t think he did it. There is no evidence he did. I’d feel more confident in that view if either he/Whitney would actually say he didn’t do it. Or if he did do it, if he went through a restorative justice process of taking ownership, making amends, educating others, and funding DV shelters and anti-violence groups. But just saying “meh, I don’t care if he did it” or ignoring it is unacceptable. I’m really disappointed in the whole community for that. Do better.
And fuck anyone who listens to Chris Brown, I can’t believe that asshole still has a career after what he did.
Or if he did do it, if he went through a restorative justice process of taking ownership, making amends, educating others, and funding DV shelters and anti-violence groups.
Wasn't that point of his last album?
No, he covered a lot of his own life in that album like his infidelity, but he's also writing from the perspectives of a lot of other people. AFAIK, none of those lyrics are from the perspective of himself talking about hitting a woman.
