I've got 3 kids. Two of them are either just entering adulthood or just shy of adulthood.
I am struggling HARD with how to help them navigate their choices. The ideas fed to me and the promises I was given have fallen FAR short.
I just feel like I am at a loss of how to give advice, and they WANT advice but the US is a hellscape.
So, what are you telling your kids (if you've got them, I'm an '84 baby and had my kids younger than most)? How are you directing them when it comes to adult life/colleges/etc?
Even our least expensive state school is $15k/yr plus room and board in the $14-18k range. But there aren't really any jobs with a liveable wage with OR without the degrees so....I dunno, I am at a loss. Help?
