My first MTB trail was on a fixed gear that I've been riding for 12+ years...then I bought a geared bike, then I bought a single speed MTB. I wanna learn some things on it that I haven't learned before, especially with jumps and riding fast in the woods in general.

What's the best route? YouTube and send it? Clinics and classes? Find other folks and just annoy them?

I have fun just being on the bike, but I wanna manual across table tops and do drops and shit too ...I have insurance through work so breaking shit doesn't matter except it hurts and puts me out of work and off my bike.

Edit:

Okay so I took my first real ride on the niner mentioned above. I did 6 miles on a local trail with not much elevation gain. I went pretty slow because I was the only one in the park, it's hot as all fuckin shit, and I'm a noob. The bike certainly handles better and feels better than any bike I've been on for this terrain (tight corners, lots of switch backs, lots of roots, lots of rocks, mud). I'll put my Strava from today on here if anyone is interested, but all that to say I think for now I'll leave the rigid fork but might throw the carbon bars on that I have. Aluminum bars and my hands cramping was my only complaint.
