Mayakoba - where to stay?

I love the Rosewood Mayakoba. Been there 5 times. It never gets old. The spa is the most beautiful I've ever seen. Perfect service throughout the resort. Not the nicest beach, but that doesn't bother us. We're pool people.

Rosewood is my favorite. The best service and food, love the activities available and room layouts. You can go to any of the properties for meals.

I stayed at the Rosewood last year for a week and absolutely loved it. We went to the other resorts for dinner a few nights but I honestly liked the dining at the Rosewood better. Lots of activities and we used the bikes to explore all over the area. The staff were exceptional too.

I stayed at the rosewood but was a bit sour when we visited banyan tree as the resort is beautiful and I was wondering why I was paying 2-3x the money, didn't feel justified. Especially the beach at the rosewood is a big minus UNLESS you get to use the adults only beach, than it's rosewood all the way.

I love the Banyan tree and I thought the food was great. The hotel villas are very nice as well. We tried the rosewood’s Mexican grill night and that was fun! I don’t think you can go wrong on either of the two.

Another vote for Rosewood! We’ve been twice for our anniversaries with our kids. Exceptional staff, food, and the property is stunning. Take a day trip to Tulum to swim in the cenotes and then rent the catamaran at Isla Mejures - the turquoise water is incredible!
