I’m js curious but does active focus actually work? Also are there other tips cuz I’m only nearsighted in one eye and my other eye is healthy
Take your glasses off, patch the good eye, and do print pushing and focus shifting for 30 minutes a day with the weak eye. Preferably outside in natural light.
As soon as you start seeing improvement order new glasses online with a reduced lens for the weak eye and wear them for everything other than driving. You didn't say what your prescription is but generally you want to go for something around -0.50 to -1.00 less than your current prescription to give your eye something to work towards.
If you have a habit of looking at your phone or reading while laying on your side, stop immediately. This is by far the most common cause of significant asymmetrical myopia.
What is print pushing? I’m -3.05 in left eye and -3.00 in right eye and my doctor told me to wear glasses full time
Print pushing is when you read at a distance where the text just starts to get a little fuzzy and over time you can push the page further and further away.
Patching
How long should I do it and how long would it usually take for it to work also should I wear my glasses while patching
I had the same issue 10 years ago. One eye was super healthy the other wa -0.5. My doctor gave me glasses to wear one with diopter and the other without. It was a huge mistake. My healthy eye now had a blockage, it got used to the glasses and got weaker and weaker. Now one of my eyes is -3.5 and the healthy one is now -3.0. My eldest sister had the same issue aftee some years one eye healthy and the other not. I told her waterver you do, do not wear glasses. Now she still sees very good.
Maybe this is not the case for you but I just shared my experience. Wish u the best
