As someone with three foot tall tin peacock guarding my storage unit, height makes the silliest things take on different feeling. My guy is perched on some boxes to be eye level and face to face when you open the door. lol he’s scared me a few times.

Can’t quite tell how big it is but you could throw some cabinet doors on it and store seasonal linens, guest linens, or extra towels and such. Or cleaners, disinfectants, etc.
Exactly this - such a dust trap as it is and not functional at all. Turn into a cupboard and put things you only use a few times a year in there (suitcases, holiday decor, bulk supplies you may buy etc)
Personally based on my experience in the northeast, I wouldn't want to risk the mold on linens & rust of cleaner containers. The cabinets would have to be airtight

Store stuff in water tight boxes. Our house was prone to mold and those were a life saver. Add a dryer sheet so it doesn't smell "plastic-y"
Vacuum bags work well and save space too
Install a TV up there and then post a pic on r/tvtoohigh and read the chaos when everyone goes ballistic.

Place pothos or vine-y plants. They’ll do well with the humidity during showers and it’s gross however they’ll benefit from being in the same room as the toilet
