And my Mom added such a small amount of sugar, that it tasted sour. Friends would tell me "You're supposed to add sugar to this," and my Mom would say "the sugar is in there." So embarrassing!
We rarely got koolaid, too much sugar. Water, milk, a small glass of juice a day and half a soda once a week. At restaurants we always had water. We were allowed Quick tho
We always had Hawaiian Punch. Loved that old school metal can red punch flavor. They lost me as a fan when they put it in the plastic container. Just not the same and I told dad to stop buying it. I always wanted Kool-Aid because of all the different flavors but being a hyperactive kid my parents decided it was way too much sugar. But for some reason we always had Hawaiian punch in the house.
Drank mine with Pepsi. Half and half. No idea how I got the notion to do that. I just loved the "triangle" ope ings..the tool. I can't remember what it was called right now..
My mother never bought this. I had to go across the street to get Hawaiian Punch ice cubes on toothpicks.
I did know it was a hat though, cause you can see his hair.
“Punchy” marked a huge win for the tobacco industry, as they evolved from tobacco companies to flavor companies. Bringing their new tech flavoring science to the food industry, they took a benign slow selling drink mix and converted it to a soft drink for everyone especially kids. And like Joe Camel, they created a brand character to help with sales. They killed it, turning a barely registering product onto a huge money making player in the soft drink market.
Then wtf is it
