What’s the most disappointing weapon in your opinion?
Discussion & InfoI think what they should have done is give these weapons a special moveset, but ONLY when you are on Torrent.
Wouldn’t be any issue for balancing PvP, but would make for a fun option in PvE.
This is not a bad idea at all and would make for some cool synergy with the lance talisman, which I find to be one of my least used talismans
Yeah, I only use the lance talisman when going into battle against non-Draconic Tree Sentinels. Cuz I am terrible against them on foot. Only enemy where I’m better on Torrent than on foot. Having mount-specific movesets would be bitchin’.
Honestly, something as simple as giving that Endure skill a special red lightning buff would be cool enough. Bonus if that buff changes your charged R2s to have some lightning AoE kinda like the Ruins GS.
I could even see both this effect and your torrent moveset idea to be good buffs that don't make the weapon OP, just good.
Honestly, not even with just this weapon. It would be cool to see some moves that are unique to riding on Torrent. Or at least had special moves that only worked when on horseback.
Hold on, let him cook.
This is actually awesome idea
Considering he's much easier to beat while also riding torrent, I think this is a great idea. Let's you go back and kick the dual sentinels ass if you skipped them
Really? I think it's hell fighting draconic tree sentinel on torrent and I always fight him on foot
Agreed. The sentinels are rather easy to parry. Tree sentinel, draconic, even Loretta. The easiest is their distance-closing jump attack, if you can reliably parry it then you can just bait it out and bully them into submission
Nah, everything is easier and 10 times faster off of torrent besides traveling.
Draconic Sentinel is so slow you can easily lay into him with multiple attacks before he can get one out.
Honestly the lighting stuff should spread to more of these dragon weapons. Seems like Dragon halberd gets all the love 😞
Yeah it would have been awesome if the hammer got coated in red lightning. If it at least had that I would have used the shit out of it for the cool effect if nothing else.
Don’t forget the Dragonscale Blade!
Just imagine doing lighting slams with the dragon greatclaw. That’d make the weapon so much more better
Fromsoft robbed us from a potentially fun and amazing weapon 😔
They could’ve made it the same as Ruins and had the heavys have a aftershock
Having the same skill as the Dragonslayer Greataxe from Dark Souls III but with red lightning would have been great.
Gideon’s hammer. My disappointment was immeasurable when I found out it wasn’t also a staff.
Yeah, I would’ve loved a hammer or greatsword catalyst
same with lorettas warsickle
And Carian Knight's Sword. It's literally in the item description.
that it's a sorcery catalyst?
Straight sword embedded with a blue glintstone.
Weapon of knights sworn to Carian royalty.
These knights' swords could serve as catalysts, letting them wield sorcerous battle skills. Despite numbering fewer than twenty, this power made them a match for even the champions of gold in battle.
damn, the dlc better have some weapons catalysts. I'd even be willing to forego a weapon skill for it
Idk dude. Idk really like to seen them expand in the godskin apostle incants, gravity sorceries, add more blood incants, etc. it might be nice to be able to run something like the reduvia off hand (or a bigger sword in my main hand) if it could use the weapon art with L2 and cast with L1.
They could easily do an ash of war that turns a weapon into a catalyst while allowing a shield off hand with no art and based on the affinity you choose that determines your scaling…
I like the 1st paragraph more tho
Well they do magical weapon arts so from a lore stand point that is accurate. From a practical game stand point it is misleading.
The “letting them wield sorcerous battle skills” part is important here, the description isn’t talking about spells, it’s talking about Ashes of War. It still doesn’t entirely fit because it can only use one and it’s still disappointing but the description doesn’t lie, you can cast Carian Grandeur with the thing.
Should’ve been a staff not a hammer.
I disagree. Funny cane go bonk
It should’ve been both
Ivory sickle. It looks absolutely gorgeous, like an adorable little scythe, but the damage is simply horrendous
Put glinstone pebble ash of war on it, go full mage, and it becomes a cute glock. It’s not “optimized” but its fun and stylish. Fuck the meta.
EDIT: meant celebrants sickle, but my point still stants
fuck the meta
I stand by this message
Can’t infuse the ivory sickle iirc
Might have to try this
Just use Glintstone Kris for that
Eclipse shotel. Never have i seen such a cool concept go to waste so bad.
It’s like… you should be allowed to inflict Death Blight on human enemies considering how late in the game you get it.
Considering how late you get any of the death blight things! Oh brb just gonna go do fia's questline nearly to the end for a death fart that only works on pvp in an extremely limited scope.
They could at least let it do some else on enemies immune to it
Only death spell worth it is death lightning, just due to the unreal damage against large nonagile targets
Even for that use case ancient dragons lightning strike is pretty much a straight upgrade and it isnt locked behind a mammoth faith requirement
True! Counterpoint, death lightning is fuckin rad.
In what scenarios and against what enemies do you find it useful? I really wanted to like that spell but never found it effective
Its good area denial in pvp, mostly due to damage instead of death blight. If others cover you, those bolts of lightning can do like 2000 damage if they hit. Dragons, the fire giant, anything of that size, it can hit multiple bolts. Highest damage I've seen on single targets with a home brew build in new game plus was like 6500 or 6800
I'd hit one of Fia's death farts like I were taking a bong rip.
I feel the same way about Madness. I love Vyke’s spear and all the Frenzy incantations but they just don’t hit as well in EVP as they do in PVP. It still does damage but it’s not much and you don’t get the satisfaction of proccing madness
It was doomed to be the worst curved sword in the game since it inflicts death blight
Never have i seen such a cool concept go to waste
THIS
110% just about everything this weapon is disappointing except the way it looks. I hate that most legendary weapons are things you can pick up. The only one that makes sense to me is the dark moon greatsword because you have to do a quest for it. I think the should all be rewards for fighting a boss that actually wields that weapon
Deathblight should deal a large burst of flat damage (as opposed to % max hp damage) to npcs.
To be clear, Ordovis’ Greatsword is a fantastic weapon, but I’m bitterly disappointed that it doesn’t have the Crucible Knights’ move set.
Would have been really cool. Especially since they're fairly derivative of the Black Knights from DS1/DS3, who's heavy weapons had unique movesets.
DS1 Black Knight movesets were so fucking cool. The Black Knight Greataxe with a leaping slam was hilarious to land in pvp, and the uppercut with it was badass. Such a cool weapon.
Absolutely. Siluria's tree gets at least some of the moves, and a great running R2. And an awesome ash but Ordovis has a fine one too. Would have loved to have the heal punish thrust the crucible knights do.
The crucible knight shield is also underwhelming with bad guard boost and no pierce damage.
Wishes you could remove the ash on the shield, so that you can use the ash on the greatsword with the shield equipped
The grafted dragon isn't as bad as I thought at first but it's still underwhelming compared to expectations
Also it not having arcane faith scaling to fit the dragon theme is kinda sad
I wont ever forgive From for not making the dragon head a big hunk of meat i drag around and use as a great hammer
but anyways this is still my favourite weapon in the game so i think i can easily forgive From this time
I love using Grafted, actually obliterates Radagon. And in pvp players never see it coming.
Dragonscale Blade, the moveset should be better than just the average katana
In the Network test, it had the Serpentbone Blade moveset. Not sure why they changed it..
Double Slash with an Ice Lightning Sword sounds a lot better.
Probably because the serpentbone was added
This was such a bummer to learn cuz Katanas are my fave weapons
YES!! This ffs. Just give it innate bleed OR frostbite. Either one I dont even care. Heck I think innate frost would be kino, instead of bleed. It would be unique. Instead I'm stuck with a fancy looking longsword that forces me to use it as an L2 stick.
The most dissapointing weapons are the ones that are so basic but outclass everything thats unique...
You mean like the iron greatsword?
Iron spear, some basic mob weapons. The starterd ultra greatsword. Its just so boring.
If it makes you feel any better, the intention is that you can craft your own legendary weapon. Like sure, you can use Ketsan's Holy Spear, an artefact of legend once used in the Summoning War... Or you, Remiel, can take a lowly mace and turn it into a +25 lightning mace with a dope ash of war, and then, in a few hundred years, YOUR weapon will become a named weapon of legend: Remiel's Mace of Thunder, once used to quell war in the Lands Between by one who would become Elden Lord.
I've always liked that aspect of Souls games. It would go a long way if we could copy unique Ashes of War onto a generic weapon, though...
I mean, look at Vyke's Warspear! That's EXACTLY this.
I never thought of it like that. Brb gonna go use a bunch of "generic" weapons now
Yeah. I like that idea tbh. Not every legendary needs to surpass basic ones. Great knife is another contender to this.
Oh my fucking god, thank you for that. You’ve made me see the weapons differently, and you made my fucking day. Fantastic. Making another account to upvote this comment again
They should let us name and color our weapons
That’s fkn cool I didn’t think of it that way. Makes me feel way better using my dual katanas lol
Funnily enough I'm doing a faith build at the minute with a mace with the sacred order weapon art. Having so much fun with just a basic weapon.
Dragon Greatclaw is the only true answer here. I can't be the only one who literally respecc'd after beating DTS the first time just so I could try out his weapon and being completely disappointed. It did way less damage, had way less reach and no innate lightning damage or abilities.
Most boss weapons in Fromsoft games are going to be a bit disappointing. They can't just give you the crazy OP weapons they give the bosses. I get it. But this one truly deflated my sense of anticipation.
With the amount of broken shit in this game I feel like giving us boss weapons with cooler movesets and skills should not be out of the question. Hell, I’d argue DS3 had cooler weapons than Elden Ring.
Praying the frayed blade comes back
The OG Moonveil with more moves
I love someone else's idea. Let us use all the same attacks but only when we're on torrent. Especially since that guy is so much easier to kill while you're riding torrent it would just make sense
Crystal sword and rotten crystal sword. Spinning slash isn’t very fun but they’re both somber weapons, surely they could’ve done something a little more interesting
Crystal sword is one of my favorites because it looks so good but yeah I wish it wasn’t somber. That would be a fun sword to mess around with different ashes on
Frozen Needle.
It deals less damage than every other rapier. It also inflicts less frostbite buildup than any normal cold-infused weapon. Trading that much damage for a short-ranged R2 projectile is absolutely not worth it.
If you're that desperate for a ranged attack, use the Storm Blade ash of war, or craft some Freezing Pots.
Storm blade is actually nuts
For some reason a lot of people sleep on it. It's really good.
They prob looked at it and went "eh, just a long ranged AOW" ignoring that it actually does about the same damage as a few attack-type AOW in close range, but is spammable and very hard to miss with.
It would be so much better if it was infusible and buffed, like the antspur rapier.
While I agree with you, I actually like the frozen needle. The R2 is cool that it’s a projectile (despite it being weak) and I like pairing it with the Antspur
Just recently did this on my sorcerer build because I am shifting into a cold/rot flavour with Carian sprinkles and the antspur powerstanced with the frozen needle is just fantastic.
Hits fast and deals pretty good damage and procs frostbite really fast. I’m sure it would be more optimal to have a cold infusion on a different thrusting sword but the flavour of the Frozen Needle fits my character better.
Though, I wonder if it makes a difference which hand I hold them in? Aside from ashes of war and the special R2 on the Frozen Needle.
As an R2, i think of it less as a projectile and more as phatom reach kinda thing
I actually think that the frozen needle is incredibly good in a power stance combo with another longer rapier like the estoc.
It's long, the projectile does a silly amount of damage, and it is equally strong and hard to predict by NPCs and players alike.
It's one of my favorite weapons.
The projectile-backstep move is so good in PVP it’s ridiculous.
I like the R2 feint with the projectile for spacing. Not the best, but I like it for pvp
I’ve always really liked this weapon, but perhaps more for PVP. The ranged R2 is a really fun attack that’s great for mixups.
Whatever the giant ass club the albinaurics use. I’m running a strength mage build and was hyped to get that weird ass weapon to drop, only for it to be a little chode mace that’s like 1/10th the size of the original model.
Theres a great hammer version that the large albinaurics use.
Or if you just want a regular hammer you could try grinding for the stone hammer the battlemages use?
Oh didn’t know this! I’m currently using the Pickaxe and looking for a new greatweapon to use. Ngl the pickaxe feels like cheating because of how quickly you stagger everything
Yea look for the big shirtless ones that roam near the church on the lakes 👍
Love this answer lol
Carian Knight Sword, I was SO hoping it'd be a weapon catalyst.
Then Loretta's Sickle, for the same reason.
Are you kidding? Carian Granduer is freaking awesome. We do need a good weapon catalyst though, I’ll give you that.
Carian Grandeur was a good consolation, though isn't it better when put on other weapons ?
Do like the blocking R2 though
Carian Grandeur performs really well on Greatswords in my opinion. The better reach and base damage make it easier to hit with the sweetspot and the infusions will also reach better scaling numbers.
In my experience a magic infused longsword or lordsworn straight sword works wonderfully.
Loretta’s Sickle is freaking awesome. I use it for my mage, casting lefty, and power moving with the right
It's great, but it still disappointed me. After seeing Loretta using it to cast spells I hoped I could as well xD
I use the Carian Knight Sword as an alternate when I’m against an opponent I can stun. I love it, but I’m all about that Carian sword magic.
Rotten staff. Great example of a weapon that just wasn't finished in time. Instead of giving it an ash or war where you can spread scarlet rot mist like the actual rotten avatars themselves, they just gave it the same one as it's normal counterpart.
There are a decent amount of scarlet rot weapons in the game, and NONE of them have any unique ashes of war.
I do wonder whether rot weapons were originally meant to have stuff like that, but that stuff was nixed for balancing reasons
Any of the tiny swords, like, why are you tiny, you're a sword.
That's what I say every day at my pp
Couple smithing stones should patch you right up
Daggers op
Not a weapon but inescapable frenzy is extremely dissapointing because you can't use it in PvE for some reason, while Life steal fists and sacred flame(from Ds3) exist and work
Okay, that's hilarious.
You can grab Gideon during his monologue
The problem of custom animations for every enemy size. Inescapable Frenzy is grabbing the opponents head and staring into their souls, while Life steal and Sacred Flame are gut punches with effects that can be fit to a lot of different proportions with a simple kneel animation.
The sword of swords from the lion boss in the south, super dissapointed with the ash ot war
The Grafted Sword! God dude I love how it looks but it's just impossible to justify against some of the other options.
I used in until montaintops in my first run ever and i was sooo dissapointed how short it fell in the late game areas
It’s great for PvP, just hard swap and cast the ash then hard swap to whatever you wanna use
It's a great buffing stick, but not really a weapon you want to use
At least it's good for buffing your stats. Comes in clutch when you need to cast Law of Regression in front of Radagon's statue.
Step 1: Put the Grafted Sword in your right hand.
Step 2: Put a fast bonk weapon in your left hand,, I recommend Rusted Anchor for counter pierce damage or Great Stars for bleed and regen.
Step 3: Spam the Grafted Sword weapon art, it's a 5 second long Endure, you can now kill bosses without rolling.
I wanted the leg prosthetic to give me a peg leg...
Varre's Bouquet
Below average damage output for a unique weapon, hits like a stash of flowers despite being actually made of steel, Blood Tax on a short reach mace of all things. While buffable, there are still plenty of better bleed weapons, and even within Hammer class, Spiked Club and Morning Star are much better.
It would've been much better if the weapon skill could shoot blood flower petals per each thrust while buffing the mace with Bloodflame simultaneously.
Below average damage is a bit of an understatement, it has ridiculously low damage. That said, I think they had to be a bit careful with it. It has arcane scaling and is buffable, meaning status effects which scale with arcane can be applied very very quickly (ie, blood grease). It can tear through a lot of things which are weak to bleed even with it's small damage output, and blood tax is really the perfect ash for it to proc status conditions (also, blood tax is not allowed on other hammers, so you get the poise damage benefits of multiple hammer strikes with blood tax as well). The fact you can heal 10% on a fully landed combo means you can stand and trade with almost anything while continuously proccing bleed. It's not a "good in absolutely every situation" weapon but it can be very effective depending on the circumstances.
Flails, all of them.
I've been using a keen nightrider flail as my backup to nagakiba on my recent coop build against everything that slashing damage isn't great against and been really enjoying it especially with spinning chain
i forced flail and shield combo for my very first playthrough…little ashamed to say it quickly became a comet azure and hoarfrost stomp run, while just sorta holding the flail
Family heads and bastards stars would like a word
Flails also have a very good guard counter animation
Family Heads gets Dex scaling for the weapon, but Int scaling for the weapon art. At its best, it's either a dex weapon with a 16 int requirement, or it's a catalyst that can only cast Rancorcall.
Bastard's Stars is a heavier, slower version of Wing of Astel. It requires 5 more dex to wield, it's more difficult to acquire, and the weapon art is harder to use.
Bastard stars is a good L2 stick, wing of astel obviously outclasses it because it’s a curved sword with a no fp projectile. But bastard stars can shred in pve and pvp.
Flails can be fun against players who are parry fishing in pvp
Chainlink flail has great strength scaling and innate bleed tho
GOLDEN TROLL SWORD!!! (It does nothing)
For me it’s by far the weapon you get from Draconic Tree Sentinel. Such a cool weapon when the boss uses it, when you get it it has fucking Endure
I hate it when somber weapons are given the most basic ashes of wars. lmao
I have 3
Golden Order Greatsword ; Loretta’s War Sickle ; Eclipse Shotel
All three look absolutely amazing but perform extremely bad. The GOGS is the most disappointing IMO, even though holy in general is really weak in the endgame, this one specially stinks. The animation for the ash of war is really long, the knockback only works on human sized foes and you have to be upclose for the entire attack to work. It’s a heavy sword despite being made of light, and even when it comes to holy weapons it gets outclassed by the inseparable greatsword, which has a better moveset, better damage, better scalings and is arguably found earlier.
Loretta’s Sickle is a gorgeous weapon, the ornate silver and black design looks fantastic but the damage is bad for its weight, the ash of war is too long and doesn’t deal nearly enough damage.
The Eclipse Shotel is just bad because death blight in general is a terrible status effect that does nothing in PvE. If you take the shotel at face value, and ignore the ash of war, it has bad range and mediocre damage .
Golden Order GS has to be my pick as well. 21 dex requirment and bad physical scaling, just barely higher AR than regular greatswords with Flame Art, lousy Ash of War.
Yeah, its pretty bad
I swear there must be some kind of meta commentary involving the Golden Order stuff. The Golden Order GS, Order's Blade requiring INT but not scaling with it, Discus of Light spells suck, Golden Epitaph worse than Golden Vow (which is an Erdtree spell). It's like the game is trying to tell us that Marika's whole Golden Order thing was just a shitty, ill-conceived idea to begin with.
I kinda disagree with discus of light, it’s not great for bosses, but it performs well for exploration, it’s pretty cost efficient. But to add on to that, immutable shield, litany of proper deaths, both of the law incantations are all bad as well. I’ve only used the ring incantations, but they are honestly better for pvp
Mantis blades….they suck and they shouldn’t suck
To me it's the entire Ultra Greatsword class, so disappointed that none of them have the forward slam 2h R1 that they had in the previous games, I really do not like the sideways slash they have
I'm disappointed by the lack of any somber lightning greatswords
You know an easy fix (assumingely) would be just to give these weapons the option to change its ash of war.
Ah definitely, but unless they get patched then they're forever going to be stuck in disappointing teir
Miquellan Knight's Sword. For such a beautiful weapon tied to one of the most important characters in-game, it's AoW is just... Sacred Blade. Not even a unique version of it either, just basic Sacred Blade.
Golden Order Greatsword not being an INT/FTH weapon is criminal
Tie between the Dragon claw greathammer and Eclipse Shotel. The greathammer looks really cool and when the draconic tree sentinel uses it, he's able to do a bunch of cool ancient dragon lightning attacks. When we get it, it's literally a normal greathammer that does slightly more damage vs dragons and the weapon skill is endure. ENDURE? Seriosuly? And it's not like we can even change the AoW anyway, for some reason this piece of trash is classified as a "unique weapon".
The Eclipse Shotel seemed really cool. It also fills a niche that no other weapon really can, being a DEX/FAITH scaling weapon. The game even calls it "one of the Legendary Armaments". And what does it's skill do? It applies deathblight. That's it. Deathblight, the most useless status effect in the game, that literally EVERY ENEMY is 100% immune to. Oh, and the range on it is the 2nd worst in all it's weapon class.
There's quite a few and Troll Knight's Sword is for sure among them. On top of that I was also incredibly unsatisfied with Winged Greathorn, Axe of Godrick, Cranial Vessel Stand, Dragon Greatclaw and the Gargoyle's Black weapons. I'm somewhat more okey with the Gargoyle's Blackblade cause at least it had a more fun skill.
Ordovis' Greatsword was a huge let down cause it felt like very quickly slapping someone with wet noodles, I very quickly vent back to a normal weapon with Spinning Weapon on it instead.
Maliketh's Black Blade was also a disappointment to, not because it's super weak, just because I had hoped the skill would impart the feeling of fighting like Maliketh but it doesn't, the Royal Greatsword gave me more of that experience.
Bell bearing Hunter weapons. All those fancy ass movesets and all we get is a cork screw. Absolutely lame as hell.
Any unique weapon that doesn't have a special ash of war or stat property.
Each one is a pointless waste of a cool model. I love using things purely for the aesthetic, and even I think each one that fits this description belongs in the trash. Truly a waste.
Probably the Duelist Greataxe; saw it and said "Yeah, I'll farm that, I've got a strength build" finally get it only to find out it not only it needs 30 strength to wield but ITS A DEX WEAPON!?!? Utterly disgusting. Even With Heavy infusion its just not a good weapon.
The one you find in the snow field is waaaay better
Yeah, it has Rot, but it still suffers from the same terrible scaling and requirements.
You can dual elements which is crazy good
For me it is all Flails.
When I saw first screenshots emerge of a new weapon class: Flails I was super excited.
Turns out they just copy pasted the axe/mace moveset onto them and they are pretty boring as well as weak
This weapon, Loretta war Sickle and Carian Knight Sword SHOULD be catalysts, it's look like Mayasaki hate hybrid weapons or something, the fucking description tells the this weapons were catalysts for enchanted knights/Trolls Knights, even the Troll use the weapon like this, Why not us? Someone have a theory about this?.WHY??
He just likes to blue ball us😔
the one draconic tree sentinel uses
NGL, it's not a specific weapon, but it's the lack of 2 things:
1- weapons/shields that can double as casting catalysts. I wouldn't care if it cost a bit extra and was an ash of war.
2- Dark souls 2 buff system, where you could infuse ANY weapon, and BUFF any weapon. A cool boss weapon? You can make it a lightning infused weapon, and apply lightning buff on it if you want.
in addition they should have made it like ds2 so that weapon buffs dont disappear if you holster your weapon or twohand another weapon. like if i enchant my blade and put it on my back why the fuck would it just be unenchanted then its just a gameplay contrivance imo.
Dark souls 2 did so many things right and it gets so much hate
The envoy greathorn I think. Too slow. Or maybe godricks dragonhand.
I spend like 3 hours farming that. Maybe longer. I must have killed 100 of them. With my discovery at 235, I should have been getting a 4.57% drop rate. Nope, not one.
Nox Flowing Sword. It just seems so useless compared to other swords.
Other than that, Crystal Sword. It looks cool, but that's about it.
The grafted dragon or any weapon for that matter that you get from a boss that ends up being some lame ass toned down version of it.
The fact that there isn’t a margit faith hammer/weapon spells when we literally have carian spells for int builds
Why can’t we have our faith weapons :( (other than malikeths spell)
It’s not greatsword/zwei but I think the blue troll sword is actually pretty cool. 10/10 fashion souls and poke heavy. Ash of war isn’t the best but def usable.
I guess so, but the fact that this is a somber weapon with a basic skill frustrates me. Just imagine being able to cast greatblade phalanx with the sword, like the troll knights can do.
Darkmoon Greatsword because it clips through its matching cool Big Witch Hat when you carry it
Cane Sword and Harp Bow. Both are bordering on gag weapons, kinda, but you'd hope there was a little more going on with the gag/gimmick as opposed to just being worse than early game variants (Short Sword, Short Bow). Like, you can imagine the Cane Sword being more like the Bloodborne version, having a unique/flashy moveset, or just having better scaling for specific stats? Instead it's just... nothing.
Somewhat related, there's a lot of "unique"/Somber weapons with normal/meh Ash of War, yet you can't change them.
There's a lack of ability to adjust scaling on bows... that was always somewhat disappointing with how poorly they scaled generally. The Ash-of-War options for bows were also less interesting than other weapon types (and lots of bows couldn't be changed, as per the above complaint).
Lastly, I'd say not being able to use Square Off in particular outside a small set of Straight Swords was kinda disappointing. I missed having it on some of the larger weapons.
The flower bouquet thing that I went through hell to obtain. Almost worthless.
Golden order greatsword. It's scaling is crap and doesn't prevent skeletons from rising.
Eclipse shotel.
Godskin stitcher, would’ve loved to do all the quick pokies that he threw on me!
I honestly still love the stitcher. Put blood affinity on in and power stance with the bloody helice, makes one hell of a combo!
Use the repeating thrust ash. I've been really enjoying it. Looks sick too
Carian Knight Sword. Even if I break the game progression through end game levels and at +9 it feels very disappointing. Its scaling is just so bad.
Black horse knight flail. Why is it so frigging tiny, should be a colossal flail
Grafted blade.
Looks very cool. The ash of war is just a minor stat buff.
GodRicks Dragon. What should have been a sick dragon head at the end of your hand that could spew fire everywhere is just the carcass of a lizard your wearing while doing basic fireball spells, it was immensely disappointing to get that weapon.
I was expecting the troll knight sword to have a magic ability. Definitely doesn't live up to its design.
Grafted Dragon, when I first saw that you could get the dragon head as a weapon I was excited. What I got was something that barely did any damage with a terrible AoW that had priority over Bloodhound's Finesse
Also Loretta's weapon for not letting you use spells
Rot Crystal Staff. I was denied of being able to deal rot even with the crystal spells while using it even though the enemies that wield it have no such problem. Its only saving grace is that it allows for doible crystal staff without NG+
Duelists have those cool chain whip hammers, but when it drops the version you get is just a hammer without the chain whip.
I think it’s called the Battle Hammer?
It’s a bummer that madness is purely a PVE status effect outside of NPC invaders. Same with death blight although that one I get more. There’s no way that madness as a status effect would be more broken than something like bleed or even Blackflame
Agree with op tbh
Crystal sword and spear
It’s a battle between whips and flails
Whips are the best they've ever been in elden ring bro, idk what you're talking about. Giants braid, urumi, hoslows petal whip and thorned whip are all great.
Really viable weapons in pvp, less in pve as the damage is low so you really have to focus on dodging a lot but at the same time you dont have to be right up close with bosses and enemies
Why the disappointment for magic troll greatsword?
Because the troll knights were able to use glintblade phalanx and I thought that would be the weapon skill, only for it to be troll’s roar. As a colossal greatsword, it’s okay but the existence of greatsword and Zweihander pretty much makes this weapon pointless. If it was infusible while still having intelligence scaling like clayman’s harpoon, then it would be more worth using.
Grafted Dragon. Having a reanimated dragon head on my right arm sounds so much cooler than it was actually implemented.
Not sure why Troll Knight's Sword is the image here. Troll's Roar is super fun against weak mobs, sends them flying. Enemies with shitty poise get staggered hard or just outright launched. And the sword got a poke!
Dragon Greatclaw and Dragon Greatshield. Why can't we use any of the fancy moves that the Draconic Tree Sentinel can?
